Crystal Queer.

University of Toledo HR VP Crystal Dixon remains on paid leave after writing this: “…I take great umbrage at the notion that those choosing the homosexual lifestyle are ‘civil rights victims.’ Here’s why. I cannot wake up tomorrow and not be a Black woman. I am genetically and biologically a Black woman and very pleased to be so as my Creator intended. Daily, thousands of homosexuals make a life decision to leave the gay lifestyle….” [Inside Higher Ed]

She needs to change her batteries. I think I woke up this morning still the same queer I’ve been for the past 53 years.

I worked there and am really sorry to hear that such terrible ideas are still around. I know many people are very accepting. This University is a very diverse community and through my work I have met many persons from many nations. Silly people are always around, and their stupid comments are just as visible as the good ones.
