I&#039;m under the impression that they are two different companies without common ownership.  If that&#039;s the case, then the headline on this article is patently false.

Per Wikipedia the Twitter team&#039;s core consists of Jack Dorsey,
Evan Williams, and Biz Stone.  None of the names listed on the &lt;a href=&quot;http://bit.ly/pages/about/&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;bit.ly about page&lt;/a&gt; match those names.</description>
