LIFE AFTER DADT

DADT Is Nearly Dead, So Obama’s Putting Lesbians In West Point’s Board Of Visitors

President Obama nominated executive director of the LGBT West Point alumni group Brenda “Sue” Fulton to serve as the U.S. Military Academy’s first openly lesbian member on the Board of Visitors. Fulton is one of six presidential appointees on the board who will provide “independent advice and recommendations” on matters concerning the academy to the president. Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell repeal co-sponsor ex-congressman Patrick Murphy was also recently appointed to the board. Does this mean that the President is deliberately appointing LGBT-sympathetic people on the board to help handle the post DADT American military.
