Dan Hampton’s Succinct Apology For Brokeback Movie Review
Dan Hampton, the Pro Football Weekly host who made that Brokeback Mountain joke stupid straight guys always think is funny, and now he’s apologized as promised: “I’m an idiot and I truly am sorry if those comments bothered or offended any of our great and wonderful viewers and again I’m truly sorry about that.” Score one for self-awareness.
yeah, he only apologized b/c he didn’t want to lose his job. truly sorry my ass.

What else can he say besides,”I’m an idiot.”? What more do you want? Even if he doesn’t mean it, at least he said it. You can’t make him mean it.

@Desdemona: All the better IMO. So some fat-ass homophobic ex-jock is forced to apologize because he’s gotten him and his network into a huge puddle of problems by making a gay joke. It’s almost better for him to be in a situation where he’s forced to apologize. The day an attractive man, who’s not in some closet, makes a fag joke is the day I’ll start worrying about some comment but until then I find it amusing guys who I wouldn’t even check out once are the ones making these comments and it’s even more amusing when they realize just how much they’ve f*cked up by doing so.
