Dancing In The Streets

From Stereohyped editor Lauren Williams: At the election party I went to last night, everyone screamed, hugged, and jumped up and down when Barack Obama was declared the winner. It was happening all over the country, obviously.

Pictured above is the celebration in Harlem. Check out some other pictures from election celebrations after the jump. I slipped one of a weepy Jesse Jackson in there for good measure.

"Although only 48 percent of Democrats overall favor the amendment, some 69 percent of black voters support it."

"Its promise lies in the fact that you are going to see an increase in turnout among African-American voters," said Kellyanne Conway, president of the Polling Company, which often works for Republican candidates. Her firm conducted the poll with SEA Polling and Strategic Design, a firm that works with Democrats."

Not only am I now more poor than yesterday James but so are thousands of Gay couples across California who find themselves left out of the American dream, UNPROTECTED thanks to people like you. You and your community are definitively more rich AND CRUEL/DISCRIMINATORY than all of us GLBT Americans now.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

My. My. Church-lady. Why the delusions today? No medication? No loving from your lovah Men-Sur? Diapers soiled? When you write this what do you you mean?

"UNPROTECTED thanks to people like you."

Do you mean people who support same-sex marriage? Because I do. Please explain yourself sweetie and change those diapers. You are starting to smell.

hugs and kisses

Oh Church-lady. You are so hurtful! :-)

Those diapers still stink baby. You must really love sitting in your own mess. Nasty little girl. Men-sur is going to be mad when he gets home.

kisses

ps: dear Queerty editors: Don't worry. I will no longer waste you bandwidth writing to my crazy, and smelly, friend Church-lady.

Of course you won't. You and your girlfriend Moesha777 got what you wanted from the dummies who came here and agreed with you.

Gotta handed to you WhatAmericadoesntneedmoreof aka James, that Obama flute playing sure got lots of Gay people following creeps like you to their doom, if it wasn't so evil and hurtful to me I would be in a state of admiration of the corrosion and erosion you and yours have brought to the Gay community.

Cheers,

Why do the comments have to be so hateful and mean?

Okie,

Church-lady is a race baiter. Both she and Men-sur (probably cousins who do each other) come here and spew racist noise.

I have no problem being mean to a little girl who can't keep her race hate in check. She also can't follow the strand of an argument (ie—"I'm the emeny even though I'm not against same-sex marriage").

Church-Crazy…this election has driven you completely off of the deep end….and that is filling me with such enjoyment!

as for you being more poor…that might be the saddest story i've heard all day! wait…nope…not sad at all…

funny how Bush is in the whitehouse still and NOW you are poor.

BTW..you favs McFail/Failin endorsed the ban on gay marriage. so your pronouncements and arguments have little or NO meaning.

you need a hobby…have you done anything today besides troll through queerty's threads?

Don't pay attention to him, he is a disgrace to the gay community and has done more to damage it than the religious right.

Jesse Jackson weeping. LOL. He's weeping because he's out of a job. Nobody wants to hear his complaints about victimization anymore. He just wanted to cut Obama's balls off.

"Not yet clear why Prop. 8, which had been losing in polls, passed. Ted Olsen at Christianity Today thinks Barack Obama, who opposed the measure but not gay marriage, helped:

But African-American Californians overwhelmingly supported Prop. 8, by a 7-to-3 margin. Black women (who made up 6% of the electorate) were even more supportive, telling exit pollsters they voted for the measure by a 3-to-1 margin."

"Why do the comments have to be so hateful and mean?"

Because Church Lady has a severe mental disorder.
