THINK OF THE CHILDREN!

David Tutera And Former Partner Are Each Taking One Twin

david-tutera-ryan-jurica-getty-3Celebrity event planner David Tutera and former husband Ryan Jurica have found the perfect an awful solution for the custody battle involving their newborn twins — each man will get one!

It almost goes without saying that this is an incredibly tangled, no-one-really-wins situation. The couple, who married in Vermont in 2003, resided in California, where until this summer same-sex marriage wasn’t legally recognized, so the couple had filed for a domestic partnership. The two men split this past January just six weeks after twins had been conceived using a surrogate. Cedric, a son, and Cielo, a daughter, were born June 19.

According to UK’s Daily Mail, the two men have settled their once explosive feud. Tutera will assume custody of the female twin, Cielo, who is biologically his, while Jurica will take over primary care for Cedric.

Tutera compares relinquishing Cedric to his ex to mourning the loss of a second child, but both men say they want the twins to be in each other’s lives.

Tell us readers, do you think this is this the best solution? Remembering the wisdom of Solomon from our Sunday school lessons, we shudder to think what would have happened if the couple only had one child.
