Oh please! That city is a mess. What D.C needs is a discrimination campaign against all the violence ALL LGBT endure. It’s frightening. And that this campaign is cheered as progress is pretty insulting, considering the other numbers of gay and lesbians brutally beat or stabbed or shot or killed in D.C. Where’s an all inclusive campaign agaisnt violence for us all LGBT in that city? Won’t visit anytime soon until it happens.

I agree that far more needs to be done here in DC in regards to combating hate crimes toward gays, and all LGBT in general. I don’t see the grassroots effort to especially challenge authorities, and the police force who seem indifferent toward the crimes targetting all LGBT and I wish more pressure was placed on serving our community better. It needs to happen.

D.C is going to be known as the new Jamaica of the U.S if it doesn’t get its act right, cuz right now, it’s not cute the intolerance of that city. Agree that more gay groups need to work locally to change that, and make local leaders get involved.
