      oh here we go again. i guess the pharma company that makes the vaccine needs more cash. we all know how this went down in SF and NYC where thousands of gay men laid out $150 to $300 for a vaccine they didn’t need. When will the fear mongering of the gay community end?

      @Caine: Meningitis is a BRAIN infection, so you don’t need to worry about it!

      “Los Angeles County residents are eligible for free vaccinations during the next week” – notice the word FREE?

      @Caine: The anti-vac movement is literally killing people. Only in our time of relative safety can we cavalierly dismiss warnings about plagues as “fear mongering.”

      The meningococcal meningitis vaccine is old as hell, I doubt that anyone is making any $$ off of it at this point. Pretty much all public health measures are really overly cautious including this one
