Dear Hollywood: Girl-on-Girl Flings Do Not Constitute Lesbian Representation on TV

If homosexual marriage were legal in these United States, we would skip the wedding chapel and head straight the honeymoon suite with Current TV's Bryan Safi, because he makes us think about serious things while laughing. Safi returns with this badinage on television writers who use girl-on-girl storylines not to further the gay agenda or win GLAAD awards, but to spike ratings. Ugh, the worst was really that Mischa Barton on on The O.C., right?

Hmm, using Torchwood as an example of a show where it's okay to have chicks kissing but not dudes doesn't really work out so well.

@Carver: very true. It was on point (and funny) apart from that, though.

@Alexa: Yes it was. Those story lines have always annoyed me. Granted it might not annoy me as much if it was two hot straight guys making out instead of hot straight girls lol.
