No, dick, these laws are not about your approval or perception of us as “normal”, but our having the same rights as our hetero counterparts.
Some of these opponents give themselves far too much credit.
I think a great number of people need a greater appreciation for philosophy.
Then they could ponder the meaning of “normal”, “imbalance”, “malfunction”, “perversion”, etc.
These things are largely subjective concepts.
But regardless of whatever they are, the underlying chemistry, or physiology, etc, that leads to homosexuality is “natural” because it exists, and as such is neither “good” nor “bad”.
Um… and what makes heterosexuality “natural”, when throughout history women have been traded as chattel through heterosexual marriage and expected to be obedient slaves, leading to the incredible sexual oppression in the Victorian era when women were not even supposed to be sexual beings? How is it “natural” that man and woman are so “right” for each other that it took the Kinsey Report for patriarchal U.S. society as a whole to figure out that the clitoris is pretty much the primary female sex organ? …I don’t understand why it’s more “natural” to be heterosexual when heterosexual sex has been so screwed up for so long.
Um, think I’ll pass on that Jamaican vacation ….

I think you fail to understand the christian notion of absolutes and absolute values. With a sky pixie dictating to you your ABSOLUTE moral values then it certainly ain’t subjective at all, but absolute and for all time.
I can see where you’re coming from and I tend to agree with you, but you have to understand where these fuckwit ideas come from.

I’ll probably never understand because such ideas are inherently illogical and empty.
A dictionary might clear this up. The meaning of the word is different when used in various ways, golly, there are even words that sound the same, but are spelled differently.
Ha!! So he babbles on and on about “chemical imbalance” this and “perversion” that and then says “…Not even the lower animals have these tendencies”.
