DEFENSE: Craigslist Sues South Carolina Attorney General Over Adult Listings

Rather than wait around for South Carolina Atty. Gen. Henry McMaster to make good on his threats of prosecution, Craigslist is instead suing him. Filing suit yesterday, the company wants a court to declare Craigslist is immune from any liability its web listings may bring — something McMaster doesn’t agree with. But maybe he’s taking the the hint: While he’s still maintaining his threat to sue, his tone is noticeably calmer.
