Lucy Meadows, who was the target of The Daily Mail columnist Richard Littlejohn, committed suicide this week. According to The New Civil Rights Movement, Meadows was criticized for staying in her post as a primary school teacher after she started presenting as a woman.
In the article, now three months old, Littlejohn went on to ask if “anyone stopped for a moment to think of the devastating effect all this is having on those who really matter? Children as young as seven aren’t equipped to compute this kind of information.” The reporter said that the children needed to be protected from Meadows and suggested she was a threat to their innocence.
Even worse, Littlejohn also suggested that Meadows should disappear. “It would have been easy for him to disappear quietly at Christmas, have the operation and then return to work as ‘Miss Meadows’ at another school on the other side of town in September,” he wrote. “No-one would have been any the wiser.”
Now Meadows is gone… The trans-phobic article has since been scrubbed of all references to the teacher. The changes seem to coincide with the recent news of her death.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
While there is no direct correlation between Meadows’ death and the article, it would appear that she was a target of media bullying. What’s worse, is the possibility that she did feel threatened by the article or by others because of the way it was written.
The New Civil Rights Movement goes on to ask: ” Did you ever think about how it would feel to be Lucy Meadows at the moment when your paper chose to label her as forever ‘male’ and a threat to her own students? Obviously that didn’t deter you from publishing this disgusting, horrible column in the first place. So why bother hiding your deeds now?”
Readers what do you think? Did Richard Littlejohn go to far? Should he or the paper be held accountable in any way?

Littlejohn is one of the most horrible people our country has ever produced. He is the atypical right wing self loathing bastard that’s fortunately dying out.
The Daily Heil should be held responsible, its owners should be tried for treason because they and their readers hate Britain. They always go too far, and they are one of the reasons the deal for the press has gone through so easily.

Maybe Queerty should stop using the Daily Mail as a primary source for UK news stories then?

I wish the Daily Hate Mail and Telegraph could both be shut down just like the News of the World. They’ve long been the most homophobic rags of all time, worse than the New York Post owned by scumbag Murdoch.
