State and local governments pass resolutions honoring all kinds of things, usually with no one paying much mind.
But Georgia state Rep. Matt Ramsey (R-Peachtree City) was so interested in a proposed resolution honoring an LGBT marching band that he’s apparently trying to block its passage.
Ramsey requested a delay on voting on a resolution recognizing the Atlanta Freedom Marching Bands, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary and gearing up to host the Lesbian And Gay Band Association conference during Atlanta Pride.
His only explanation for the delay was that GOP caucus members had “some questions” about it.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Jeez, don’t folks in marching bands get enough crap?

Typical ignorant persecution.
I always wonder how much of what these elected officials say and do publicly is heart-felt or just to win votes.
