Dina Matos McGreevey knows gay sex scandal. The former NJ first lady faced one just three years ago when good old gay ex-Gov. Jim McGreevey came out. She's basically an expert on disgrace.

That's why the journalistic go-getters at Inside Edition decided to tap her trap for an opinion on the Larry Craig scandal…

First and foremost, Mrs. McGreevey wants Craig's wife, Suzanne, to know that she's got her back. Forget women's intuition, McGreevey feels Mrs. Craig's pain.

I looked at her face and I thought, 'Oh, my gosh, that was me just three years ago.' I could see the pain in her eyes and I know what she's feeling and empathize with her.

Maybe Mrs. McGreevey can invite the Idahoan housewife for some tea and empathy.

Meanwhile, McGreevey took a harsher tone with Lewd Larry. She says she's not passing judgment, but you know she's totally lying:

I don't want to pass judgment. I don't know what is true and what is not true.

All I would say is for his wife's sake and his family's sake that he is completely honest. Not only with himself but his family and the rest of the nation, because it's very painful whether it's true or not.

Since it wouldn't be a McGreevey media moment with a bit of bitchery, Dina did work in a slight shot at soon-to-be ex, Jim. Describing how closeted gay men split their private and public lives, McG chirped, "I often said Jim should have gotten an Emmy Award for his performance." And Mrs. McG deserves an Elie Wiesel Humanitarian Award.
