Disclosure.

Why is there a scorecard on how much celebrities are giving? I think it is great, the amount of people who are supporting gay marriage, but why are we keeping count?

And still Ellen DeGeneres hasn’t given a dime. Shame on her. This is really, really important, and I’m keeping score, even if Ellen’s staffers are on the blogs misdirecting people.

JJ- Good God get a life, your obsession with Ellen’s financial donation history is getting a bit creepy. Why don’t you focus on yourself. What if have you done for the cause……….nothing. There are drugs you can take now for OCD disorder. Most, intelligent,
mentally stable gay folk know that her contributions to our community are priceless. Get a life.

I’m very disappointed that Ellen DeGeneres has turned out to be such a tightwad that she can’t step up at this crucial juncture. A defeat for Prop 8. will institutionalize gay marriage in California and as goes California so goes America and the world. It’s very important.

I can’t believe that her remaining fans aren’t urging Ellen DeGeneres to do the right thing and pry open her wallet and make a financial contribution.

I don’t know why people are surprised about Ellen and Proposition 8. Ellen has never been one to go political and take stances on divisive political issues. She has spoke out against Prop.8 and in favor of gay marriage repeatedly when asked… did you see her on The Tonight Show?

She’s not going to actively campaign and go around making speeches, going all political on us like a madwoman. Ellen is NOT Rosie O’Donnel. She needs to keep her reputation and keep her fan base.

Rosie has become a political opinionated madwoman and look what that got her – being named the most annoying celebrity.

Ellen was much more active in a direct way on gay issues when she was with whats her name. I wonder if she feels that she took to much on and it did not help that relationship and does not want to repeat that same mistake. She still gets her point across. When she had McCain on her show she pulled no punches on how she felt about his stance on gay marriage. I really don’t get all the focus on
her and what she is or is not doing, shes not our mommie you know.
