To some of you, Davey Wavey is just an Internet cewebrity who gets off on the sound of his own voice and sight of his own nipples. But to at least one high school fella, he’s a voice of reason. Asked by viewer blog buddy Josh for advice on whether he should bring his boyfriend to his prom. Even though Josh is out to his family and friends, he’s “most afraid … of the negative reactions he might have,” relays Davey, who then proceeds to proffer REASONABLE ADVICE and attacks the matter from several angles. Because Davey is a soothsayer for angsty gay youth, you see. “If you’re afraid to do something, as far as I’m concerned, it’s just another reason to do it,” says Davey. “And I know, I was in high school too, it’s easier said than done to do something that’s going to make you stand out in high school, where it’s really about conforming to what everyone else is doing. But being true to yourself? I think that’s a really important thing.”

Josh is involved with the school theater department.
That means, everyone in the school already assumes he’s gay.
The only guy in the schools who doesn’t realize that, is probably Josh.

Queerty’s favorite saint looks like a crack addict. Creepy.
justiceontherocks
Make it go away.
Soupy
I can’t agree with any Davey says because that would make me as asinine and shallow as he is.
justiceontherocks
@Soupy: I’ve read many of your posts. If your were blind drunk and in a coma you wouldn’t come off as shallow as this internet clown.

My advice:
Get a bottle.
Does the bottle contain alcohol?
You should probably drink that.
Place the empty bottle on the ground and spin it.
This will chase the rats away.
When the bottle stops spinning, the person it points at is the designated driver.
Drive very fast.
When they get to the school, start beeping the horn while going in circles trying to mow people down.
This will catch everyone’s attention.
And they’ll be so jarred and angry at the driver that they’ll forget about whatever the problem was.
Gigi
Seriously? People ask the shirtless wonder for advice? He doesn’t even drink alcohol!! 😮
Chris
Davey and Queerty, on the other hand, need to just stop dating and get married already.
Why???
kayla
Why doesn’t he wear clothes? What is the point of this….? I have seen other gay men on YouTube who for some unknown reason feel the need to be shirtless….Does this mean something…? Am I out of some cultural loop? Please explain………
Jonathan
I think he’s wonderful and speaks to GLBT youth exceptionally well. He pulls off non-threatening, informative and sexy at the same time and that’s why my GLBT college students think he’s terrific. I applaud his efforts.
Soupy
So is Barney. But even he knew when to quit.

Hey, Davey actually does a pretty good job here, lay off the guy. yeah most of the time he’s best watched with sound off, but this was well said.

“If you’re afraid to do something, as far as I’m concerned, it’s just another reason to do it,” says Davey.
Um, wow. Not pay attention in biology much?
Maybe you guys are right about him. -_-
justiceontherocks
@Jonathan: Thanks for the laugh. that was really funny.
You were making a joke, weren’t you?

I don’t understand the whole “DaveyWavey” thing, but I admire his success. He is working with very little and made a name for himself. This post is a bit lame, but actually, on another video segment (posted here) a guy that was dealing with his homophobic family, and Davey offers excellent advice.

@justiceontherocks: If only it was possible to make people straight, because your sort of negative attitude should not be part of the “queer community”.
Riker
Jesus, why must all you bitter queens fling negativity at Davey? Sure, he’s usually about as intellectually deep as a puddle, but if you actually *watched* the video, the advice he gives here is sound.
Plus, he’s cute and I want him in my bed now, kthx.
Bryan
Does anyone here have a mental capacity greater than that of a five year old…? have any of you even watched his videos? they’re interesting, inspiring, and enlightening. He asks for tolerance, understanding and a little more love. How can you even criticize that message?
Jaroslaw
Bryan dear, #18, see comments 10, 15 and 17. And read them if you can. Better yet, have someone who can, read them and explain them to you.
