Does Anyone Care if Rosie O'Donnell Calls Elisabeth Hasselbeck a 'Twat'?

Fending off divorce rumors, Rosie O'Donnell might soon be fending off women's groups — all thanks to calling former View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck a "twat."

At least it wasn't "hag"! Or "bitch"! Or "cunt"!

Rosie's reported remarks came during a stand up routine last week (just days before Hasselbeck gave birth to her third chidl) at part of Cyndi Lauper's "Girls’ Night Out Tour" in Staten Island. Fox 411:

“Rosie started out by asking the audience, ‘What was that show I was on?’” an audience member tells FOX411. “Then, instead of saying, ‘The View,’ she called it ‘The Screw You.’ She continued by calling Elisabeth Hasselbeck, ‘Elizabeth Half-a-brain.’ Then she jumped to another topic.”

But Rosie wasn’t done. Not even close.

The audience member says she went back to her “The View” experience. “Rosie said when she first met Elisabeth, she thought she would love her, because they’re both Christians,” the eyewitness says. “Then she stopped and said, ‘But then she turned on me.’ Then Rosie called her a ‘t–t.’ O’Donnell then moved on to a different subject, saying she really didn’t want to start a new feud, or restart an old one.”

Um, too late?

Of course, this is barely a tiff considering their history:

I don't have a problem with anyone calling a twat a twat.

Elisabeth is mindless and bigoted. All her views come from her husband.

Can you think of anything less relevant than what one woman is saying about another woman? It's zero times zero.

I could not possibly care less.

E.H. is just a slightly less revolting version of Ann Coulter. Oh, yeah, if the twat fits….

um but EH is a TWAT.

Twat is kinda the less offensive of cunt, except whereas cunts are evil, twats are dimwits.

She's a shrill, humorless cunt devoid of all humanity. I think it's perfectly acceptable to call her a twat. I hope Rosie eats her (and then gets wings after, b-cuz she's still gonna be hungry).

Women always call each other things like that, even affectionately (I think). Like guys call each other dicks pricks etc.
Women can be very nasty.

It's mindless and bigoted to suggest that because Elizabeth has highly conservative views that they come from her husband, or that because she is a Roman Catholic Female that she is a twat. Elizabeth is an independent twat making her own twat way in the 21st century. Feminism, dudes.

Rosie just doesn't like Hasslebeck because she challenged her on every topic and caused her to demonstrate rational thought. Rosie isn't capable of rational thought, so she had problems expressing it.

@Ben : Feminism is no less a constraint than Roman Catholicism or that her views come from her husband . I doubt that they would stay together too long if her views went inconsistent with his.
In any case, most of those people aren't very genuine feminists if they are. Fenmi9nism may be force in society, but not evryone buys into it.

Catholics:

"Let a woman learn in silence with all submissiveness. I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to keep silent." (1 Tim 2:11-12)

Elizabeth is reasonably intelligent. But she's awfully self-righteous in my view. I get the feeling their stouses are staged.

For Rosie to call Elizabeth a twat demeans all respectable twats everywhere. Rosie should apologize to the twats.

Well, at least Rosie did not stoop quite as low, as did
Hedley Lamarr: [to Lili Von Stupp] in Blazing Saddles.

"Shut up, you Teutonic twat!"

LOL at James.

Mel Brooks is my hero. The man and the people he chose to star in his films, are positively brilliant.

Not to downplay Young Frankenstein (Ah, sweet mystery of life), I think Blazing Saddles was his Masterpiece.

I for one am offended that one woman feels her comedy routine would bring a laugh on calling another woman such vulgar names. And then to have other woman stand up and cheer….. hmmm
