Does Shep Smith Get Cuter When He Drops the F-Bomb?

The first time Fox News anchor Shep Smith was — during this conversation about the CIA and torture — going to say "fucking," he caught himself. The purple-hued gentleman wasn't so controlled the second time. Because HE IS A MAN OF CONVICTION, and censors be damned!

I'm not sure the FCC's jurisdiction extends to the internet. This was streaming on FoxNews.com.

I'm scared I agree with something said on Faux News. We are America! We do not fucking torture!

@getreal: Oh, America has tortured people on the last 8 years – tortured hundreds of people. And the UK has consented to that torture, including the torture of British citizens. The role of MI6 is slowly coming to light after a series of investigations by journalists.

How can you not give Shep a pass on this? I think his sentiment is appropriate and he (and I and all of us) needs to be outraged.

So is Queerty now trying to be "fair and balanced" by pitting alleged 'mo Shep Smith against "alleged" 'mo Anderson Cooper (lol)?

@rogue dandelion:

Of course it's AC hands down but I wonder how catty Shep would be if he were at MSNBC, though.

me thinks the conservatives (can't call them the Right for some reason), are starting to figure it out that they have been lied to in a big, big way….
I'm glad to see Shep's righteous indignation about this, but remember the five stages: first is Denial (we've see that), now comes the Anger!

Fox News trots him out there so they can claim their fair and balanced mantel. If I'm not mistaken, this wasn't even shown on TV. It was for an internet-only broadcast.

I wouldn't be surprised if that F-bomb was orchestrated for maximum exposure.

Don't let this fool you into believing that Fox presents a fair stance on the torture issue. All day and night, from Fox & Friends in the Morning to Glenn Beck and O'Reilly at night, Fox's commentators are blood thirsty. They all defend the techniques and, if anything, urge the CIA to continue torturing any "enemy combatant" they can get their hands on while implying that another 9/11 is right around the corner if Obama stops them.
