She is so delightful. I saw her at City Hall in New York in about 1978 with then mayor Ed Koch. Very funny, warm, charming and talented.
I remember many years ago, Dolly was an outspoken advocate for gay marriage. She always said, “Yes, gay people should be able to get married. They have to suffer just like the rest of us.”

I’ve been a fan of Dolly Parton since 1966 and even met her in her home town in 1980, doing her OWN grocery shopping, mind you! She is as down to earth as they get. Even at my age, I’ll buy this CD!

Dolly did a dance record many years ago. I bought it. It was a pink vinyl 12 inch single with a purple lable. The song was “Baby I’m Burning” We used to dance our collective asses off to it in the clubs…..Ahhh, the good old days. Whatever this next song is, I’ll buy it. Love this woman.

There were dance remixes of her version of Peace Train back in 1996 including one by Junior Vasquez that was really good. She also had a CD of dance mixes of her version of Walking on Sunshine out around the same time with Junior producing a couple of mixes of that song as well as other producers.
