Don’t Insinuate Your Saudi Soccer Opponents Are Homosexuals

Meril Radoi (pictured left), a Romanian soccer player for the Saudi Alhilal Club, has been suspended and fined $5,500 for daring call a Saudi opponent a girly man.

“I don’t know why he keeps following me and annoying me during the matches,” Radoi reportedly said of Hussein Abdul Ghani, a defender for Saudi’s Al-Nassr team — and, we should mention, the Saudi national team, so there’s definitely some national pride going into defending him against gay allegations. “He touches me like a girl. … I don’t know why,” Radoi continues. “Perhaps he does not like women but men.”

What two things should you never do in Saudi Arabia? Act gay, and accuse national treasures of being gay.

Honestly, I hate going there, but Radoi seems pretty gay to me on first glance. And, this statement, reeks of insecurity.
