If you weren’t lucky enough to be in San Francisco on March 29th, then you missed your one chance to see ten of the funniest drag queens in the business performing live on stage at the Castro Theatre. The Drag Queens of Comedy featured Coco Peru, Shangela Laquifa Wadley, Peaches Christ, DWV members Vicky Vox and Willam Belli, Lady Bunny, Heklina, Bianca Del Rio, Pandora Boxx and, the show’s creator, Sasha Saprano. Detox, the third member of DWV, was scheduled to perform as well but had to cancel at the last minute due to a family emergency.
The audience has been raving on social media about the hilarity of the sold-out show. However, the stand-out queen of the evening was RuPaul’s Drag Race season 6 contestant Bianca Del Rio, who opened and closed the night with her signature insult humor.
