Screenwriter Dustin Lance Black concluded during his research that while J. Edgar Hoover, the FBI’s first director, was probably gay, he likely did not cross-dress. Which means Leonardo DiCaprio, who’s playing Hoover in J. Edgar, won’t be put in any lady frocks by the costume designers. He will, however, still be smooching Armie Hammer, who played both Winklevoss twins in The Social Network.
