DVD: “Jack The Giant Slayer,” “Let My People Go!” “Men to Kiss,” & More!

LetMyPeopleGo2

It’s a pretty gay week in home entertainment, from a gay Hollywood director’s take on a classic fairytale to foreign homoromance.

From France comes culture-crossing farce Let My People Go! while same-sex opposites attract in Germany’s rom-com Men to Kiss. Want something serious? Chile’s Des/Esperando charts a bad romance between a closeted politician and his younger hush-hush lover.

Meanwhile, Bryan Singer’s big-budget Jack the Giant Slayer packs a whole lot of 3D giant action — in English!

A French farce with a gay Jewish twist, Let My People Go! does pack a few hearty laughs, particularly when the family lawyer pursues Reuben – their initial encounter at a gay club called Out of Egypt is hysterical.
