DVD: “Premium Rush,” “Killer Joe,” Yet Another “Resident Evil,” And More!

Christmas week is slim pickings for home entertainment, but there are some pretty fine and fun titles regardless. Matthew McCaunaghey plays a cop who freelances as hitman in the noir-ish Killer Joe (above), while Joseph Gordon-Levitt rides his way into big trouble as a bike messenger in Premium Rush, andRichard Gere plays a corrupt Bernie Maddof style villain in the tense Arbitrage.

And Milla Jovovich faces zombies—yet again—in the latest installment of the horror franchise they couldn’t kill, Resident Evil: Retribution.
