Struggling to come to terms with the death of his brother, Jack (Mark Duplass) is offered a safe haven at his ex-girlfriend’s mountain home. Once there he stumbles upon his ex’s sister Hannah (Mad Men’s Rosemary DeWitt), a lesbian who has just gotten out of a long-term relationship. The two eventually find solace in each other’s misery, but the specter of sexual tension soon arises. Co-starring Emily Blunt, Your Sister’s Sister is an engaging and well-crafted character study, but you may find yourself wishing it had tried something new. Extra features includes a commentary by Duplass and director Lynn Shelton.
