Queerty is better as a member
“who — besides some heartless saboteur — could deny these two their happiness?”
and yet the overall tone of your article is oozing with disrespect.
Beg to differ.
The plural of son is sons, not son’s.
Adorable. Congrats to both. Pretty apparent which one views himself the bride/wife. Committed!
It would help if gay marriage were actually legal in China. Enjoy your little piece of fantasy,, sweethearts.
You stupid fools, this whole thing is a put-on. Lovely wedding dress, “Little Treasure”.
@Brian: Do you not understand the term ‘activist.’
At one time there were no marriage equality in the US, currently there are 9 States the recognize same sex marriages. Prior to that many couples held ceremonies, regardless of whether or not they were ‘legal’. I guess you are a gay that waits for the str8ts to tell you what you can and can’t do, otherwise, it’s just a fantasy, right?
Look at the groom’s crooked tie! That, along with the bride’s dress, make them off-the-charts a.dor.a.ble. I applaud their courage by sharing their relationship and wedding on Weibo, and it looks like they have a lot of fans.
Love this. With heart and humor they have empowered so many. China, it’s just a matter of time!
@Brian: Don’t be an asshole. Marriage is about love and commitment – not “actually legal.” Single and alone, aren’t you?
This is so sweet and genuine.
@MikeE: Where is it “oozing with disrespect”? No offense, but I think maybe you need to read the article again, because it is definitely not “oozing with disrespect.”
With all my respect to gay community and those two…I think that wedding dress is way too much. Admit it – the man just looks stupid in that dress. It would be way better if he wear suit or something…Anyway good for them, wish them all the happiness that they deserve.
Their dresses and demeanou r: crooked tie and the guy in a dress and are what looks disrespectful rather than Queerty’s article
As a chinese loving chinese gay couple of decades, I feel that they are almost mocking the current western orthdoxy of gay marraige as being the requirement for a sucessful gay relationship with all its commerical and consumerist trappings.
