Ellen DeGeneres doesn’t appreciate Simon Cowell’s sexual advances. Not because she’s a lesbian, you see, but because unless you put this giant piece of earth material on a woman’s finger, nobody does. Which is why Ellen is no longer sitting next to American Idol‘s lead interrogator, as she was on Day 1. Or, a more plausible reason:
Ellen cannot stand Simon, and in order to explain to viewers why they aren’t going to be seated side-by-side anymore, they came up with this funny video. But it’s no laughing matter; Ellen can’t wait for him to leave the show.
And Idol just. got. interesting!
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

Cute.

1. Why is Ellen scratching her head so much?
2. How long do dogs live again?
3. Is Kara bringing crazy back?
4. England IS tacky.

I think she’s been a big bore so far.
killerwhalesKILL!!!
yeah she is boring

I think the chair next to Simon comes with an IV or something. Kara seemed to be channeling Paula last night.

I thought the video was a hoot.

I like Ellen (hello, gay men exist!) but I don’t like her on American Idol. In fact, I don’t like any of the judges as Simon is clearly over it, I never liked Randy’s lack of vocabulary and Kara is repeating a lot of her comments. The problem with Ellen is that she is nice but also honest and while she is the comic foil, her responses seem based on nervous rattling which is better out the mouth of a high Paula. The women were pretty bad this week with 2 hopefuls but Simon has dismissed a whole gender so I hope a guy wins. This is my last season of this turgid show (I hate the Olympics more!) as the worst part of the show is Ryan Seacrest who I would be ashamed if he’s Gay because he is really boring.
With Simon Cowell’s X-Factor ready to debut with looser restrictions on those seeking fame, Fox will probably heavily promote one with the other and I’m still stumped that the other networks don’t run better programming against a flailing AI. I actually agree with Simon that Perez Hilton would make a good judge but it seems that the format will only churn out the next Christian Underwood or Gospel Fantasia. I find myself rooting for their demise, especially when sick family members are pimped out as Talent is based on emotional manipulation of the dumbed down Fox Viewer. Then I remember, Reality TV sucks! Ellen should not ruin her career with this show, however.

Four judges is too many. Not sure who should go but Randy is high on the list.

Good grief, Charlie Brown! You are reading my mind. I agree with every word you have said. Reality TV sucks.
Who can make the ugliest noises with one hand under an armpit?
who can play a bicycle horn stuck up their ass better?
Who can whistle Dixie…through their vagina?
Whose dog can make a bigger pile?
And those shows that do have fairly decent content like Biography, The Learning Channel, HGTV and DIY, drive one right up the wall with their end-to-end commercials that take up half the airing time of a typical show…and this, after paying the cable company hundreds, perhaps thousands of dollars annually for access to their crap.
I’ll take the Internet any day, thank you. At least, I can holler back when I get pissed off about something I don’t like. LOL
It’s why I gave-up watching TV years ago and built a library of videos and DVDs of my own choosing.

Casey James 11.3%
Katie Stevens 8.2%
Soibhan Magnus 5.5%
Didi Benami 3.8%
Ashley Rodriguez 3.8%
Lilly Scott 3.5%
Michael Lynche 3.5%
Katelyn Epperly 2.4%
Aaron Kelly 1.8%
Todrick Hall 1.7%
Tyler Grady 1.7%
John Park 1.5%
Lacey Brown 1.5%
Michelle Delamor 1.4%

Janell Wheeler 1.2%
Paige Miles 0.9%
Jermaine Sellers 0.8%
Tim Urban 0.8%
Joe Munoz 0.7%
Lee Dewyze 0.7%
I think that Casey James will win though Lee Dewyze, Todrick Hall and Ashley Rodriguez have great potential. Urban was by far the worst!

I think all this is mnufactured. American Idol has been pretty good over the years about keeping some stuff quiet. And yet now suddenly it’s all over the press about Ellen and Simon not liking each other? Simon is leaving and I think they are trying to make it look like Ellen is the new alpha judge since she didn’t like him and “forced him out” etc… Who knows. But it smacks of publicity to me.

Pretty obvious how Simon Jowels was massacaring the guys last night that after two guys winning last two, they are pushing big time to have a girl idol this season………Sorry MSNBC pollers, Andrew Garcia shit the bed last nite! The kid who’s parents decided they didn’t want him and left his aunt to raise him, Aaron is my pick to make it to the finals…….

they are pushing big time to have a girl idol this season
—————————————–
The weird thing was, Simon annouced a while ago to the press that the girls were better this year. Then the girls performed and it was pretty all out aweful, yet last night Randy told the guys they needed to be on their game because the girls blew it up. Do they really think that nobody watching remembered the night before!?

I’m glad Queerty believes what the Fox press department sends him about these on-air “feuds.”

Watched it for the first time this season last night. Didn’t see any particular talent at all. Pretty much all generic. And the guy Kara was going on about being good looking, well maybe by comparison to the other guys on the show. Ho-hum. Judges are taking it way too seriously. Totally boring. Not seeing any buzz on the net, either. And what’s up with Ellen? Her jokes are falling flat, and she looks like a fish out of water there.
The show’s had it.
fredo777
I think some of the guys have genuine talent + potential. Everyone is pretty much a bit shaken by nerves on the first big live show like this one. That said, this is a television show + the producers are always going to try to skew things in order to make it more “interesting” for ratings. That’s not just a reality TV thing, it’s just a tv thing in general.

I just worked out the two finalists: Aaron Kelly and Crystal Bowersox. The purpose for Ellen on American Idol: Season Final to be on the show is the reputation of rampant voter homophobia with Clay Aiken and Adam Lambert. Rather than repeat that mistake, they are taking the lesbian route (regardless of her sexuality, Lesbians are watching her to win!) Some of the more talented ones like Todrick Hall, Casey James, Katie Stevens and Soibhan Magnus are prospective dark horses but a twink will win in Last Season 2.0 as people of latino descent don’t watch the show that much, unless Garcia gets a nation behind him. Lee Dewyze is technically the best but we’ve been down that road with Daughtry, Lambert and Bo Bice and American Idol fans don’t like Rockers as they were all runner-ups which often have bigger careers.
Then there’s Jennifer Hudson who flipped the ultimate bird at American Idol.
Bowersox’s Lesbian following will know what it is to experience homophobia like a gay man as with Adam Lambert losing to the quiet church mouse who more easily fit the cover of TeenPeople.
I hope I’m wrong but this is formulaic by now.
fredo777
@dontblamemeivotedforhillary:
Lee Dewyze is technically the best…at what, exactly? I thought he was good, but I wouldn’t go nearly as far as saying he’s as good as Daughtry, etc.
dontblamemeivotedforhillary
@Fredo666
Yes. You are correct. He’s nowhere in the same league! Hope the lesbian wins, or causes a grrrrl riot when another queer is runner-up!
Can’t wait for GLEE and that’s how Queers ‘C’ It!
