Emmy winning Ellen Degeneres will be getting another big award this December when she’s honored with the Trevor Life award.

Bestowed by gay suicide hotline The Trevor Project, the Life award recognizes Degeneres’ admirable, inspirational achievements. The Trevor Project executive director Charles Robbins remarks:

Ellen’s groundbreaking career and her historic, extremely public and truly courageous coming out process continues to inspire LGBT youth and demonstrate that their lives do have value.

Clear Channel Incorporated, meanwhile, receives the Trevor Hope award for creating gay friendly work environments and for rhyming with queer.
