Ex-Ex-Gays Explain It All

It’s a meeting of the mindless this weekend as ex-gay movement Exodus head to California’s Concordia University for its annual Exodus Freedom Conference.

As an act of protest, Exodus founder and reformed ex-gay Michael Bussee released a number of videos explaining his evolution from gay to ex-gay and back again.

Bussee, who left the movement to be with another member, Gary Bussee, explains how he found the inspiration in college, when a peer told him he couldn’t be Christian and gay. If he’s Christian, the friend explains, he’s already a former homosexual. That was 30 years ago this month, he says. Now that he’s seen the light – Bussee’s made it his mission to combat their anti-queer crusade.
