      What a truly sad human being, I suspect his dysfunction did not have it’s roots in the two loving women who brought him up. And what the hell is a bisexual, ex-gay who writes gay porn. Maybe we can come up with a new name for that besides just the highly applicable “asshole”.

      Why does every idiot, lunatic and homophobe have to be photographed, quoted and featured in a “news” article. Can’t the media just ignore them and focus on something rational and meaningful? The media don’t make the news, but they choose what to report.

      Doesn’t surprise me. The Latino community is notoriously homophobic. This is what happens when people don’t feel like they’ll be accepted in their own communities. I kinda feel sorry for him. He’s obviously struggling.

      @DShucking: What about this reality from 2012 exit polling:

      Nearly six-in-ten Latino voters (59%) said their state should legally recognize same-sex marriage while 32% said their state should not. But among all voters, about half (48%) favored legalization of gay marriage while nearly the same share said they would oppose it (47%).

      Non-Hispanic whites were the most opposed to states legally sanctioning same-sex marriage (47% favored but 50% were opposed).

      I know bobby personally and went to school with him. As a gay man, I don’t agree with some of his statements but I believe he addressing one point and that is international adoptions. Aside from gays internationally adopting, you have heterosexuals, going abroad and doing the same. There’s an issue when wealthy individuals go abroad and basically purchase children without going through the proper channels. With respect to some of the comments stated by Bobby, I vehemently disagree and we respect each others opinions but I do agree with him with respect to gays as well as heterosexuals going abroad to purchase kids, bypassing normal procedures.

      His concern for adoption procedures is a red herring for bigotry.

      @Joetx: I wasn’t basing that statement off my own personal experiences. A lot of my Latino buddies have told me this, and I see exactly what they mean. The whole culture is saturated in antiquated, hypermasculine, homophobic ideas of manhood, again, something I’ve heard from gay Latinos. Read this: mensstudies.metapress.com/content/j236200723nu26n7

      How many kids do heterosexual parents screw up? Numbers seem high to me from general observation.

      @TRFan:

      Thank you, but there’s always someone on here (like @KDub) stereotyping people of color and letting white homophobes, who have more power and influence in this country, off the hook.

      This young man is obviously deeply self-loathing, homophobic and confused. Immersion in “conservative” homophobia and heterosexism certainly can’t help.

      To those who ask how one can be a “bisexual, ex-gay who writes gay porn,” bisexuality is his sexual orientation; “ex-gay” is one of his sexual identities, based on his belief that he is no longer gay (despite his admitted sexual orientation); and “writes gay” porn is what he does with his life when he’s not promoting homophobia, i.e., self-hatred and self-loathing.

      good lord he’s a drama queen. but, so are all the rest of the antigay idiots. it’s amazing the theatrics they use in telling everyone how bad and evil them gays is because the bible told them so. this person has done nothing more than jumped aboard the gay bashing gravy train. make big bucks bashing gay people to your fellow gay bashers. religion is the worlds longest running scam.
