The super-buff Teddy Chen Culver plays a closeted gay chef who hooks up with even buffer Burt Grinstead in this hot clip from the new gay comedy-drama, Eat With Me (meanwhile his Mom discovers some tell-tale magazines while tidying up — and voila, he’s not in the closet anymore!).
Out on DVD this week from Wolfe Video, David Au’s heartwarming feature follows a gay son (Culver) and his Mom (Sharon Omi) as they find love and understanding against the backdrop of their struggling Chinese restaurant. Co-starring Nicole Sullivan, Aidan Bristol and George Takei. Check out the full trailer for the film here.

I really want to see this film.

Super-buff?

Very hot scene, but if the guy were actually a chef then he would have been covered in tats and smoking like a chimney.

I feel like somewhere between :26 and 1:11, I’m expecting to see some visual clue that tells me where the bottle and tumbler came from and how the reading glasses ended up on the far end of the coffee table from the mom. Of course, I can understand why you don’t want to cut away too many times from the hot makeout scene. It’s all a balancing act, I suppose. And Ron Parsons, can you at least give the author credit for not using the term “twunk”?

@Merv: LMAO! You must know a lot of chefs.
I’m not too enticed by the preview, but i’m glad to see a main gay character that’s also a minority.
