      I don’t disparage the artist’s unique take on the Nativity, but I don’t see the need. It’s almost like EVERYTHING has to be gay and it’s NOT, nor does it have to be. All this does is infuriate those who are understand the traditional sense of Jesus and his parents, etc. There is this unspoken desire among so many gay people to fit into a formula that makes them fit in, and it’s so contrived. I also see this as a slap in the face at women, as if they don’t need to exist. This is just so unnecessary on so many levels. I love people who stir the pot, but this? Nope. This is wrong.

      @Jeffery:

      You do realize that Jesus did in fact have two fathers, right? His biological father, and his adoptive father. That’s all this Nativity scene is pointing out.

      @Jeffery:
      “All this does is infuriate those who are understand the traditional sense of Jesus and his parent” What would that traditional sese be….. hmmmmm But he (Joseph) had no union with her (Mary) until she gave birth to a son. And he gave Him the name Jesus” (Matthew 1:25). The earliest expressions of the doctrine are found in the gospels of Matthew (Matthew 1:18)[1:18] and Luke,[1:26-35] which say that Mary was a virgin at the time of Jesus’ birth and that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit.
      ________________________________________________________________
      Two fathers, and virgin mother who was subordinate to her God and her husband. Just like today Nuns are not equal… cannot preform the sacraments. In fact the Church is curtailing the role of Nuns. They have been slowly undercutting the role of woman instead of expanding it.

      @Jay: I hope so because I’m absolutely on the winning team, again. I do so like winning.

      The winning team is inclusive, not exclusive. Mary was Jesus’s mother. Gay people, stop trying to make everything that isn’t gay GAY. Please. We’re special enough. Jesus loves you. God loves you. Learn to love yourself for yourself already.

      WHITE PEOPLE STOP TRYING TO MAKE EVERYTHING THAT IS NOT WHITE white. JESUS WAS AN ARAB [arguing semantics over a fictional character, at least Gandalf is interesting], PUTTING HIS IMAGE AS WHITE IS OFFENSIVE AND ABSOLUTELY R@CIST AND ALL RELIGIOUS PEOPLE SHOULD BE ASHAMED, ESPECIALLY THOSE OF DIFFERENT RELIGIONS TO THE ONE TRUE FAITH [Western mono-presbo luteran sunni zionist voodoo unitarianism].

      so according to some commentators, everything gay people do is offensive. We try to be non religious – offensive
      we try to be religious – offensive
      we try to stand out – offensive
      we try to fit in -offensive
      Apparently we have to cater to everyone’s whimsical sensibilities, but to expect reciprocity is being pushy
      Why don’t some gay people STFU, and let the rest of us live our lives,flaming disco ball above the baby Jesus or sans.
