Expansion?

Wichita, Kansas’ school board will consider requests to include sexual orientation in the district’s anti-discrimination policy. Students have been making the call for months, but the board’s just now getting the message. Said one board member, “I feel like our policy, as it’s written, covers discrimination of any order. However, if adding a line would alleviate a level of concern, that certainly wouldn’t hurt anything.” [Wichita Eagle]

WOW, this is awesome to see on here. I worked on the campaign to change these policies and am glad to say that the policies have been changed and the school board is currently working with a student-led group to effectively end discrimination against LGBT students and staff in the school district.
