Queerty is better as a member
When you say Queer Actor, do you mean gay actor? Because I could have someone I read somewhere that he’s straight?
Niall, he specifically mentioned both boyfriends and girlfriends as possibilities in his “coming out” announcement, and I’ve seen some headlines that say “Ezra Miller comes out as gay.” But that isn’t what happened, what he said. He came out as “Queer,” which has become a sort of catch-all term for those who don’t consider themselves mainstream, even if they are strictly heterosexual. From what I can tell Queer is an identity that has more to do with self-proclaimed outsider status than any specific sexuality.
What it means for Ezra Miller is open to question. I think it’s kind of funny that he’s now “openly gay” even though I don’t think that’s what he meant, what he intended, or even accurate.
Queer has been appropriated by straight kids who want to appear anti-establishment. Question these kids directly, and they always identify as straight. Once again, hets taking something that is ours.
@GreenmanTN: Thanks. I asked because the last time I read about him talking about anything sexuality, he said something along the lines of it’d be stupid for any straight guy to close his mind to have a gay experience at least once in his life, so I thought he was straight but supportive of gay people.
Hey, from what I gather from Ezra’s interviews,he is open to loving men, women and also gender neutral people ( direct quote : ” I’m queer…That’s where I’m at in the boyfriend/girlfriend/zefriend type of question.” ) So I this he’s open to loving almost anyone really. Then again, we can never be sure unless we ask him in person as everyone’s definition of being queer is different these days.
