Fagbug: The Best Documentary About A Vandalized VW That You’ve Never Seen (Now Online FREE)

In 2007 someone spray-painted “fag” and “u r gay” on Erin Davies’ 2002 Volkswagen Beetle. At first she got upset, but then she decided to drive her car around the United States and see what people thought about her vandalized vehicle. She turned her journey into a free online documentary called Fagbug. It’s only about 83 minutes long, so you should watch it along with the other great documentaries showing on PBS this month.

I haven’t seen the film yet, but already I want to send this woman an air-hug and ten bucks.

The Fagbug is incredible. They actually brought the Fagbug to my college, Plymouth State, to raise some more awareness. I now have a burning desire for a BMW.

You all have convinced me! We’ve been practically o.d.ing on war documentarie lately, so this will be a nice change.

Thanks for the PBS link & plug, too, Daniel V. Since NPR & PBS are facing cuts, we may not keep seeing as much new programming.
