While we’re a little bit rock, a reader named Alan’s a little country. ow do we know? Well, he just sent us this clip of country star Faith Hill getting a little hot under the collar after losing the Country Music Award’s Female Vocal Artist of the Year to Carrie Underwood.
Watch as Hill presumptuously opens her arms to embrace the applause and loses her shit when she realizes her mistake. We can’t really blame her, though. We may prefer rock, but we’ve been known to get down to some Faith. (Never have we boogied to Underwood. She stole American Idol from Bo Bice, a sin for which she shall never be forgiven.)

Today’s Country Music is really 1970’s soft rock. The majority of drips that listen to it have their high holy day the last Sunday of October when they literally turn back time (though only an hour). Most of the songs currently in favor are about being a Redneck, Bush style Patriotism or blaming all your troubles on someone else. (Gretchen and Toby eat shit!) To me Country music was about the heart and soul of working people and their lives. Artists like Kitty Wells, Ernest Tubb, Tammy Wynette and Johnny Cash not some overweight Christian Republican fucktard in a big black hat. What the hell. Carrie deserved to win American Idol. Bo Bice is garbage. He fell off and is no where to be found. Carrie blew up major and she broke so many country music records off her one single when she first came out and she continues to break more with her first album ever. This girl is purely talented, respect that. You obviously haven’t seen her sing live in person. She brought the house down. I’ve been to a million concerts and Carrie’s concert was the best I have ever been to.

Ggreen, I agree with you on the old school country music that’s more of what I listen to as well, I will always say the best concert I ever went to was Johnny and June Carter Cash at Fords Theater in Washington, DC and getting to meet them after the show! But as far as your other comments be careful to paint in broad strokes Garth Brooks is a great supporter of gay rights especially since he has gay family members and Faith Hill is a steadfast Democrat along with her husband..just look at the comments in the you tube from the right wingers against her…;)~

Carrie didn’t steal anything from Bo. Is it HER fault that she received the most votes? AND for those that want to believe the show is rigged, how could that be her fault either? Didn’t Bo say himself that he didn’t even want to win? Carrie entered the contest wanting the same dream as every other contestant and doesn’t deserve this type of trash talk. Did Taylor steal the constest from Katharine. Did Fantasia steal it from Diana? Carrie and Bo are decent people that respect each other. Too bad the fans aren’t the same way.
Faith may have been teasing or may have been truly upset. We will never know for sure. What’s the big deal? The sun will probably still come up tomorrow and there will be something new for people to nit-pick about!

Faith is a phony. She does anything to be in the good graces of the public. This is clearly a publicity stunt to garner attention. After gaining mainstream appeal with the album BREATHE she’s has slowly be religated back to country. She believes that she’s more than country but the nation thinks otherwise.
