Queerty is better as a member
“Unfortunate misunderstanding” my foot. Someone is lying. And if its Morales, she has done the LGBT community NO favors.
I can provide numerous restaurant receipts that don’t match the merchant copy. I tip cash or only write the tip amount on the merchant copy and shove the blank copy in my pocket. If I really didn’t approve of the lifestyle and didn’t tip I would do anything I could to discredit them also. Copies of bank statements can be “fixed” to show what you want them to show also. If the original merchant copy does not match the guest copy, I’m more inclined in believing the waitress and thinking that the non tipper is furthering their cruel attack.
The handwritings different on both copies, and the bank statement shows the charge of 115 so someone at the restaurant change the charge afterwards…people suck
@qlm: Absolutely, the ball is completely in her court, they attacked her and they can’t take the publicity it has caused.
Why would a former marine target them out of the blue, why not an old couple or a young couple or obvious christian couple?
The families version of events doesn’t add up.
Also as someone who has [seen] doctored bank statements and merchant copies I can vouch for what QLM says to be true.
Not sure what happened here, but might be an idea if Queerty reported these stories as allegations, not facts, in future…
Odd that restaurant patrons would be privy to the sexuality of their server, and even odder they would risk public discord by making such a bold and foolish statement. Coming on the heels of a dozen other instances in which a restaurant patron supposedly attacked their waitress personally (and it’s always a female server—go figure), I’m suspicious, but this can all be easily proven or disproven with the customer’s credit card record. It’ll be interesting to see who ends up being the horrible human being.
And on a side note: What the hell is a former U.S. Marine doing waiting tables?? Surely she deserves better (provided she didn’t forge that receipt).
This is BS. That’s the customer copy and you get TWO BLANK copies, one for you and one for the merchant. These are not carbonless copies. You can write whatever you want on either one. They simply could have written in that tip later and provided the copy.
The ONLY way to verify is to review the merchant’s batch report from that day and see what amount was run through or provide the customer’s credit card (or account) statement to prove the charge.
@BJ McFrisky</a(and it’s always a female server—go figure) Aren't you forgetting the MALE waiter in Kansas…?
@AuntieChrist: Sorry, Auntie, I didn’t realize he was a he. My bad.
If they didn’t do it, then how did they know she was talking about them?
BJ, always here with his default position. Gays are always guilty until proven innocent.
The other problem with this story is the time stamps match on both customer copy and merchant copy. If the customer did write in a tip as they allege (otherwise, how would their statement reflect the higher charge) how did the waitress get ANOTHER blank copy of the merchant receipt? If she ran a duplicate, the time stamps would be different.
Show a customer credit card statement. Show a merchant batch report. These types of receipt copies aren’t enough to prove the allegations.
At first I did not believe her—but—why would you tip on the Customer Copy–unless you are noting the tip for your own records? A customer copy proves nothing. They need the bank statement to show a debit for theamount of $111.55. Something is not adding up. NBC 4 NY should not have reported this without that evidence. I woudln’t put it past someone who wrote that message to try to disparage this waitress further.
Well, well, well. I hate to say I told you so, but I TOLD you so, and then was ragged on like crazy!
I can spot a BS’er a mile away.
Keep in mind that customers can do marvelous things with white out and wrote only on the merchant copy. These nematode customers don’t sound legit to me and I’d put more confidence in the retired military waitress. If the customer couple is so miffed, just don’t go back to said restaurant!
@Dixie Rect: Some are even closer than that! Look in the mirror… scary!
@Dakotahgeo: So now its a conspiracy? Please. The girl lied. She saw all the press some other guy got and did the exact same thing. Just because she is a lesbian, doesn’t mean she’s a saint. It was shadey from the start. Get over it.
Oh, and my reflection is fabulous!
I was quick to judge, too. But there is no evidence to support your theory-no matter how attractive you are.
The “Customer Copy” could have been modified after the scandal broke by the customer because that is his receipt. Some restaurants print two bills-“Merchant Copy” and “Customer Copy”. I have a feeling the customer’s charge card company can verify if the tip was added or not then the truth will come out that they are guilty of discrimination.
Some websites are showing a redacted copy of the customer credit card statement with the higher amount. The merchant copy should match the account statement. How would the charge be run through with the tip if the amount wasn’t written on the merchant copy? Did they yell it out as they left? “Hey, add exactly slightly less than 20% for yourself, honey!” The customer never said they left a verbal tip. They claim they wrote it in. The time stamps on both copies of the receipts would be different if the waitress ran a duplicate receipt. Alterations would be clearly visible on the merchant copy. Doesn’t add up.
@Cam: I just got called essentially evil for objectively analysing the information at hand. Apparently my disgusting liberal leanings make me a troll of some kind.
@Fawkes: Oh wait it’s Fawkes, sorry Cam, he’s had the knife out for me since he was caught out defending the rights of paedophiles.
Something very fishy here. While the customers denied that they wrote that message and that that was their handwriting they never denied that that was their signature. At the very least, they signed a blank receipt . . . maybe a third party was involved?
Still doesn’t explain how they were charged the extra $18. Waiting for more information…
@2eo: Yeah, you’ve been called some names on this site. But telling someone to “F*ck off” for saying a media site should report unproved allegations as just that–allegations, not fact–might be a partial explanation.
@2eo: What on earth are you talking about? The rights of pedophiles? Show me one post where I defended pedophiles. Lunatic. And as for your loose definition of “liberal”: I’m about as liberal as it gets. You’re not liberal. You’re an authoritarian. You’ve shown that pretty well time and time again with your nauseating posts. You’re a walking ipecac.
As for the story above, as far as I see it, the couple is completely guilty. Showing the customer’s copy of a receipt and some fake bank statement means nothing. I attacked you for telling someone to f-off for saying Queerty should be using “allegedly” where certain pieces of purported information are not known 100%. Your comment was nasty and uncalled for, and is in keeping with your trolling nature, so I called you on it. If being called a troll hurts your precious feelings, then don’t be one.
Don’t take it personally—2eo resorts to calling everyone a ‘paedophile’ [sic] if they don’t agree with his positions. Apparently he finds that to be the height of British witticisms, and not the slanderous bullying that it truly is.
@DarkZephyr: I agree. Most people don’t fill out their copy until they get home, at least I don’t. But one of the two is lying. I do hope it isn’t the server.
Two posts within 3 minutes that say exactly the same thing, and from the same address. It isn’t hard to catch people out when you know what you’re doing, finally I was able to get them logging out and back in without HMA.
@2eo: “Same address”? lol. Not only are you a troll, but an idiot, too. Get back to me when you learn how to properly look up an IP address, sweetie.
I like how you selectively ignored my actual post on the subject, instead going for the cheap shot, you and BJ do the same thing, repeatedly, siding with the anti gays every single time.
Yet somehow I’m authoritarian [???]
It’s possible that she made a fake receipt and wrote on it.
No likely, though.
Why isn’t the signature visible on the customer copy?
The customer copy doesn’t have a signature, nor is it required. The customer copy is simply provided for your records. The merchant retains the signed copy to provide proof of the charge and defend any chargeback claims.
@2eo: I certainly do not side with anti-gays every time. What is this? Do you even bother to check things before you type them? Or does it just make you feel good to say whatever nonsense that floats into your empty head with total disregard for reality? And you’ve got some nerve to say I went for the “cheap shot” when you had the audacity to call me a defender of pedophiles for no reason whatsoever. You are the very definition of a troll, and all one has to do is look at your posts on this article to make that determination for themselves.
@2eo: I’m not defending “fagburn” as a person, and from what you’ve said I have no desire to go anywhere near his blog, I was responding narrowly to this one post and reply. You may have replied in the context of everything you know about this guy, but remember, when people skim a comments board they only see what’s right in front of them.
I never knew you could “doctor” bank statements from the bank…provided they go online to their banking site, I can’t imagine getting a statement directly from the bank would be “doctored”. So until there’s something “official” from the financial institution, there’s no way of knowing who’s telling the truth.
But if it’s Morales who’s lying, then she’s stupid. As if someone *couldn’t produce those official financial institution documents.
But then again, this couple didn’t…yet.
So I think I will reiterate what someone else said out here earlier. People suck.
After watching both parties interviewed, I believe the waitress lied about the tip and note. It’s unfortunate she had to do this. Hopefully she will keep her word and donate the money.

When I used to repair stereo amplifiers, counterfeit power transistors were and still are a big problem. After studying the differences in the print on top of the power transistor, the most common indicator was the boldness or intensity of the print. If you notice on these two receipts, the original is not as bold as the secondary one. Yet both came out of the same machine. In both cases the ink display is fully black meaning that in both cases there was plenty of ink in the printer. Click on the link within the article to see a closer image of these two side-by-side.
I believe the family. Their card wouldn’t have been charged $111.55 by their CC company if it was rung up at $93.55.
She lied and fabricated the entire story. The bank statement is the smoking gun. Some of you are sadly as clueless and stupid as she is. This c*nt’s money grab will now be quoted by those working against us.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the ‘SHOW ME THE RECEIPTS’ subtitle of this post? One has never been more appropriate, and amazing.
@Charles175: They usually don’t use ink. They print on thermal paper.
@Dakotahgeo: I just love you now. Can we talk? [email protected]
This is awesome. All I gotta do is sit back and watch the fur fly. And in the end when it all comes out? Some of us will just sit back and laugh even harder. Just think of the fun we could have if this was REAL FACE TIME…I love you all…
“These are very serious libels – and I’ve asked them to be removed.
You really need help – bye.
Fagburn, just a quick question….(Snicker) How exactly can 2eo libel you when you have an anonymous screename?
But nice try. LOL
Once again I ask the question……..
If the family did NOT do this, then how did they know that the story was about them? If they had just eaten in that restaurant and tipped it would never occur to them that this story was about them.
They would only think it was about them and recognize that, if they in fact did what they were accused of.
@AuntieChrist: LOLOL… absolutely no problem. I shall be in touch! Blessings, good wishes! Dak!
@Cam: Please stop pretending Cam is not the same person as 2eo…
@Cam: “If the family did NOT do this, then how did they know that the story was about them?” It was a big story, they saw it and recognized their receipt. Another question might be, If they did do this why would they come forward? They weren’t being personally accused by name, what would be the point of drawing attention to themselves for no reason?
The tendency of women to lie about their sexuality is well known. Women will often lie about their sexuality if it’s going to bring them a reward from men.
For instance, it is well known that women will often claim to be interested in sex if there’s a cash payment promised to them. Women will often claim to be bisexual if it means they will receive publicity from a straight male-dominated media. Take-home message: you can’t really trust women on issues of sexuality.
As for this “lesbian” waitress, if she lied about being a victim, it doesn’t surprise me. Women lie all the time if it’s going to bring them attention. Women love being victims, as do feminized gay men.
The thing that concerns me the most is that GLAAD has installed a woman as its head recently.
Can we all at least reach the middle ground that Jim here is a woman hating nutcase?
I’m not even goig to address jimbyant’s asinine, mysonginistic comments about women (and feminized gay men because they are so stupid. The family would do this for the same reason they drew a line through the tip–becuase they hate the gay lifestyle–and now want
to make her look like a liar–which they have effectively done, since no one seems to belive her.
Yes, Jim is a nut case. I would not leave him a tip for any services rendered.
Oh, you silly man-hater, you!!!!
Face it – women are NOT good role models for the gay community. They will destroy the gay rights movement through their fakery. The worst thing the gay rights movement did was to incorporate women into their movement.
Why incorporate liars? Why incorporate people who will sell their sexuality to straight guys?
@2eo: We’ve already reached the middle ground that you’re a terrible person. Although I guess two middle grounds can’t hurt.
One is a customer copy;
The one you get to take home, and alter later when you start to feel guilty about the stupid message you wrote on the Merchant copy; The one you leave behind that actually records the total of the bill…………….I see no tip on that one but I do see the message.
At first read I thought maybe this is a put up. However with these details any Sherlock can see the guests are flat out lying.
(handwriting matches on both)
@jimbryant: You’re a lunatic. Did mommy not hug you or something? Your posts sound like anti-femininity and anti-feminism rants straight out of Nazi Germany. Also, I don’t care who is the head of the establishment joke organization known as GLAAD, whether it be a woman, a man or a Martian. GLAAD is a gay rights organization like the KKK is a civil rights organization, and it sold out to the establishment a long time ago.
@DShucking: UM? Where does it say the family was charged the amount plus tip?
The only receipt shown is that includes meal plus tip and no comment is the CUSTOMER COPY.
The copy that is used to deposit at the bank is the merchant copy, which clearly shows the amount with no tip and the message.
Yes, that’s one of the problems. Someone at the restaurant would have to enter that amount on the merchant’s terminal and process a batch to have that full charge appear on the customer’s account statement.
Something doesn’t add up. The merchant needs to review their batch process to verify what was actually entered.
The problem with women is that they are sell-outs. Women ALWAYS will sell out their sexuality to straight men. Even genuine lesbians will sell out to straight guys if they need to have a baby so much.
Look at the women who do porn. These women are renowned for performing lesbian scenes for the benefit of straight guys. These women falsely claim to represent sexuality and “sexual freedom”. What they truly represent is prostitution.
Do we really need a gender that will prostitute its sexuality to straight guys? Think about it. Think about the damage that these female prostitutes are doing to the gay rights movement with their lies and frauds.
We gay/bi guys deserve better than to have our movements sullied by women.
@jimbryant: This is so crazy that it has to be satire.
” And on a side note: What the hell is a former U.S. Marine doing waiting tables?? Surely she deserves better…”
lying bitch …. looking for easy money
@jeffinsydney: It says it on their copy and the credit card statement. As others have pointed out, you can print out multiple merchant copies. Again, if the larger amount only appears on the customer copy then how their credit card charged the larger amount unless the restaurant had processed it?
@jimbryant: Please leave the house and get some fresh air.
@DShucking: When you print out duplicate merchant copies, the time stamp always changes. The only way she could have done that is if they requested multiple merchant copies to split the bill, then the amount before the total would have been split to the amount the family would have requested. That’s the only way the time stamp will stay the same. If she prints a duplicate later, even if by a minute, the time stamp would be different. I’ve worked with POS (point of sale) systems before, I used to sell them!
@East_Dane: Okay, if it’s a forgery how was the larger amount charged to the card?
Given that liberal gays love to play perpetual victims and this sort of BS shakedown has happened before, I’m inclined to agree with the couple.
Christians are some of the worst liars on the planet, I don’t believe a thing this couple says
The receipts in contention are in the waitress’ favor. She has the merchant copy and the anonymous family provided the personal customer copy that could have had the tip written in at a later time. As I stated above to @DShucking, you cannot print duplicate merchant copies without altering the time stamp.
As a viewer of the video where the reporter shows the family’s CC statement to the restaurant manager proving their transaction with the tip included, I literally only got a brief glimpse of that. Were you able to thoroughly examine that heavily blacked out paper statement? Could you discern, as a viewer, that that was an authentic CC paper statement? I go paperless myself these days to conserve resources but I could’ve whipped that up on my computer if I wanted to easily fabricate one. You just open up your online transaction history, save it on your computer, open it again in any word software and then alter it to your liking.
The manager was reluctant to show their copy of the charge that went through because days even weeks after the incident, he doesn’t have control over that day’s transactions anymore. It already went to accounting. He would have to take it up with that department and that in itself is a hassle but if push comes to shove and he needs to prove their innocence, he should be willing to do so.
The family should also be willing to further go the distance to prove their innocence as well if they really are. Why remain anonymous? If they are so adamant that they did nothing wrong, they would have nothing to hide. A paper CC statement proves nothing, at least not the one that we were given a very poor glimpse of. Someone from a court of law or at least an impartial mediator needs to talk to a representative of the family’s CC company and/or the restaurant’s accounting department has to cough up their record of the transaction in dispute.
This did not start out as a libel case since the customers were never identified by name but the family has turned it into one. They have remained anonymous but have decided to slander the waitress and the establishment she works at. So until she can exonerate herself with the help of her employer (if she is innocent), we as viewers should not CANNOT take the family’s word on this at all, especially with such slipshod evidence.
@East_Dane: ” Why remain anonymous? If they are so adamant that they did nothing wrong, they would have nothing to hide.”
Because liberals don’t do “Whoops, my bad. You’re right.” They attack even further and destroy. They’ll circle the wagons, as you have, around the lesbian no matter what, at all costs. You know why they would prefer to remain anonymous.
@Rob: They attack even further and destroy. They’ll circle the wagons, as you have, around the lesbian no matter what, at all costs. You know why they would prefer to remain anonymous.
As you perfectly stated above, that is exactly what this family did and therefore decided to remain anonymous. Hypocrites you are all for saying that about liberals.
Full story here: http://www.queerty.com/family-claims-lesbian-lying-about-being-denied-a-tip-based-on-her-lifestyle-20131126/receipts/#ixzz2lnrlgOcv
@East_Dane: “As you perfectly stated above, that is exactly what this family did and therefore decided to remain anonymous. Hypocrites you are all for saying that about liberals.”
That might be more believable if liberals didn’t have a long history of manufacturing fake hate crimes and didn’t invest totally in frauds like Duke Lacrosse, Jenna 6, Tawana Brawley, Trayvon Martin etc.
I agree with you, but your knowledge of credit card batch processing is faulty. The merchant certainly can print a detail of the batch from his terminal and prove what was entered. If its a local place, nothing is sent to accounting and even if it is a chain, they probably send the merchant copies once per week or once per month to their home office. The merchant copy, with signature, is kept on file to provide proof of the charge and to fight chargebacks. Also, although I find it unlikely, the waitress could have printed a duplicate receipt as long as she planned it well and did it in the exact same minute as the original receipt. Again, I find that unlikely. Also, in my experience, duplicate receipts usually print with “reprint” or “duplicate” to avoid confusion when accounting for that days receipts when doing a batch. Again, I think it’s inconclusive and I would prefer to wait for the merchant to review this and release a statement before rendering judgment.
Once the news people verify with the bank that $111 was charged (which they will) it will be a question of who in management facilitated this fraud because management had to know it charged $111 and not $93. When you track that $18 you will find the culprit. Way to set us back. ‘The Boy who cried Wolf’ is now ‘The Dike who cried Hate’. Thanks scumbags. Shame on you. Shame! Shame! Shame!
@HirsuteOne: I also agree with you on all your points. The merchant is supposed to keep the signed copy for their records. Unless the waitress received authorization from her manager to post that copy on that Facebook page. When this story was first posted, it seemed like they had no issues with it going public and they kept the customer’s name and CC# confidential.
12 or 13 days passed since the story was first aired before the customers came forward with their grievance and after the conclusion of a business week, all merchant copies and transaction records are sent to their accounting office as it should be. It would not have been feasible for a manager to backtrack and go back that far in their transaction history from just the POS systems in the restaurant.
About her making duplicate copies of the merchant receipts at the exact same time as when printing out the original, that is possible but that would have meant premeditated planning on her part and intentionally targeting that particular family before they had even left the restaurant.
This case will easily be resolved once the restaurant’s copy matches the family’s CC copy amount. Hope in Dayna’s case, she is innocent otherwise she turned a previous human interest story falling right around the positive holiday season and turned it into her own avaricious agenda. If the family is again at fault, no biggie. They’re just doubled down in their bigotry. It happens all the time.
@East_Dane: Keep an open mind. This type of bigotry may happen all the time but it is not at all unheard of that a gay/black person would stage a hate crime. It’s happening at an alarming rate and the most mature thing we can do as a community is to approach every instance with equal parts empathy and healthy skeptisism.
That’s my one impediment as well. Although the waitress has been thoroughly crucified on other blogs, I find it incredibly unlikely that she planned this with such precision as to print duplicate receipts back to back and get it done in the same minute so the time stamps wouldn’t change.
This restaurant, is it a local place? It’s not a chain? Or is it?
I love all the input here…. Everyone has an opinion and or facts based on their knowledge and experience…. So who can we believe…? TMZ,… Chelsea Handler,… NBC,… CBS,… ABC…? Turns out everyone has proof that…she is lying… and they are lying… At least we are all having fun… at this point anyone and everyone is right…. Truth may win out… but online,,,? one mans truth is another mans lie.
You’re a c*nt sucking idiot. No one has advanced conclusive, irrefutable proof to prove who is telling the truth. So Shut The F’c ck up.
@HirsuteOne: THAT was my point you moron… Can’t you read you right bloody git…???
The restaurant is being savaged by Yelpers who have never even patronized the establishment all day today and I’m sure it will continue. They have only been open for a few months and are still working out the kinks but prior to today, the reviews were satisfactory to good. The proprietors of this place have to do something to rectify this situation without any further delay or their restaurant will tank and never be able to recover.
No matter what the truth is, Dayna Morales has already been crucified and now the restaurant is going down with her. I actually utilize Yelp quite often in trying new establishments and have never seen such a rapid and anger-fueled boycott of a place such as this ever on the site.
If Dayna Morales concocted this entire story and the restaurant was in collusion with her, it’s an expected if not completely deserved backlash but if not, they need to exonerate themselves as quickly as possible. Sad to see a new business go down in flames because of one rotten apple in the barrel.
If it’s the family that is truly the devious party, karmic retribution is a very real thing.
Good Grief you’re one of those God Save The Queen types. Well, we’re getting ready to hold our huge, annual Divorce From Britain celebration, so keep your frumpy nose over there in your own business. Thanks Old Chap.
@HirsuteOne: I loath cliches my hairy friend. But you ass-u-me. I was born and raised in California. I worked my way through college and spent a year in undergrad across the pond. I have paid my dues. Fought the good fight and I have been with the same man for 24 years and 4 months. I love people and I love language. Our only limits are the ones we impose upon ourselves. I am not perfect nor am I any better than you. I am silly and stupid and clever and a perfect ass. I send you my regards and little else.
OMG….I knew you’d come back….hehehe….
Thought you were a painter when you last said that “it time to paint”.
Did you paint your masterpiece ?
Sounds like you’re an electronics tech considering that you used to repair stereo amps.
I’m not familiar with “counterfeit power transistors”. If they’re mounted on a PCB with a proper heatsink, then they must be doing their job. The problem is that they could be cheaply made components that can’t do what their designed to do for very long. But I guess that “counterfeit” and “cheaply made” could mean the same thing.
I made a mistake here.
Just realized that I got you mixed up with 1EqualityUSA.
The electronics comments are still OK.
@East_Dane: “The proprietors of this place have to do something to rectify this situation without any further delay or their restaurant will tank and never be able to recover.”
Seems like this goes back to her selfishness no matter who’s at fault. That leads me to wonder what kind of Marine would A)Give a crap about such a note and B)Be so selfish as to make so much hay over it. Seems to me she’s the worthless BDU insert kind. Yeah, it’s great that she served and all, but that doesn’t mean she’s worth a damn.
Sorry, for the confusion. You’re just a d’bag then. Thanks for clearing that up!
You have to look really closely at the two receipts and enlargen them with a photo viewer, but when you do that you can see the two receipts have different handwriting for the numbers, and if you look at the last two numbers the .55 they are very different in handwriting, the very last five on the first receipt it long while on the second one it has a curve, both fives on the cusotmer copy look like SS. One of them is not correct. Which one is the question, with today’s technology it is very easy to photoshop a new receipt. The comes the signature and the writing on the first receipt, look at the cursive lettering, those E’s are almost identical in both the signaure and the writing and so is the r. This one may be difficult to prove who done it without further analysis.
All that matters is the amount of the charge the restaurant submitted to Visa. And they already have that information (takes about 20 seconds to pull up) They’re probably in panic mode, knowing that whatever they say one side is going to accuse them of a coverup, conspiracy, etc. In fact, at this point it’s the restaurant owners I’m kind of feeling sorry for; nobody’s accusing THEM of anything, but since this happened their Yelp rating is in free-fall from an inundation of negative “reviews” (actually, diatribes from people who’ve probably never even eaten there)and God knows how many phone calls, emails, etc they’re getting.
Is this Queerty or AuntieChrist’s therapy session?
LOL!!! nice try, I asked you a very straightforward question. How can you claim that 2eo had legally defamed you since you had an anonymous screename.
You realized that you were an idiot and had no response to that, so instead of actually admitting that you were wrong, you then tried to claim that we were both the same person.
Ok, lets pretend that your idiotic comment was right and we are. It still doesn’t change the fact that your other comment was wrong and your attempt to try to sound like you could do something legally about it was just hilariously embarrassing for you.
Not only did the customers provide proof of the charge, but Morales’s former coworkers say she lied about the extent of damage her house incurred during hurricane Sandy to gain sympathy (she falsely claimed a boat was in her living room), and also told coworkers the reason she’d shaved her head was due to brain cancer, which she never had.
And boom! just like that, any sympathy I had turns to disdain and disgust. If it were mental illness I could forgive, but these are just blatant, childish demands for attention. Out she goes.
@BJ McFrisky: How awful. Where can I read more on this?
@DShucking: LoHud.com, which is The Journal’s site.
@Cam: Queerty have removed your comments as they were defamatory.
If you libel me on here again I will begin legal action – okay?
@BJ McFrisky: Thanks. That’s the one I found when I did a key word search. Very alarming history.
At least Yelp had the decency to remove all the disparaging reviews on their site. People from all over the country have been savaging that establishment calling for a boycott because of what that server allegedly did. I’m sure it helps but can do nothing to thwart all the death threats they’re probably receiving over the phone since it’s publicly listed.
I have to admit, I believed her at first and I’m outraged and disappointed by her actions. We have to remember, just because someone plays the “gay card” or any other minority card, not to be knee jerk about it. We must also be the first to denounce it if proven to be fraudulent. We have too many legitimate injustices to fight without becoming hysterical over every viral slight on the internet no matter how much we want to believe them. This only damages our credibility and this server should be ashamed and called out. Not to mention this couple deserves an apology (I know they concealed their identities, but with the comments I’ve read here and many other sites, can you blame them?)
@Geoff B: I don’t blame the family at all. I just heard that they didn’t vote for Chris Christie because he didn’t support marriage equality. Don’t feel ashamed for believing her. She told a story, we expect the media to vet these stories and they finally did. It’s easy to believe it because we know this sort of thing happens to people all the time.
