Things may be going down for those two University of Nebraska wrestlers who posed for a gay porn site. The school’s athletic officials have been in touch with the site’s owner to see if the men made any money from the image, which would strip them of their NCAA standing. [Boston Herald]

For anyone who hasn’t seen the pictures – they are a must see – this young man has the most perfect body and cock I have ever seen…..He is sheer perfection with a capital “P”……

Why would making money off this violate NCAA rules? They weren’t making money from wrestling or even being promoted as wrestlers, just “jocks”, right? Is it against policy to have any job while on NCAA scholarship?
John
Joel,
Exactly..

Not sure I understand why their school is upset? They sound like enterprising young men (with extraordinary assets!!) demonstrating their marketing skills….isn’t that what their school is teaching them?
Silas
It could be that there’s some sort of contract they violated. In high-profile college sports that’s pretty common as far as collecting money. They are pretty hot though. They should drop out of school and keep up the good work!! đ
Ray
this is so ridiculous. i sent one of the guys a Facebook message of support.

The NCAA has very, VERY strict rules regarding what athletes can and cannot do while beinging on a NCAA team sport. A proposal being considered by the NCAA’s Committee on Agents and Amateurism would relax strict rules banning college
athletes from earning outside income, according to the K.C. STAR. Committee Chair William Kirwin said the change is part of “three cornerstones” to keep agents out of college sports. The three-part plan: Better education among college athletes about rules violations involving agents; financial flexibility allowing athletes to better support themselves; and tougher penalties against schools and athletes involved with agents. Included would be rule changes lifting the ban on athletes working during the off-season, allowing them to earn up to the difference
between their athletic scholarship and the cost of attending school (around $2,000 a year).
Not only the willingly violate the letters that they must sign to student code of conduct UNL they also violated the letters and waivers of code of conduct as a member of the NCAA. They created a nightmare for UNL. The real lesson here would be that if you choose to play with fire and your school career you’re going pay.

I don’t think they’re allowed to make money from media of any kind.

Correct HKG. You CAN NOT use your image while your are a NCAA athlete for ANY commercial purposes and get paid for it, it doesnââŹâ˘t matter if you are representing your school or not if you are an athlete those are the rules. The NCAA is very clear on this on the forms and waivers they make you sign. What people forget to realize is that the NCCA is a seperate corporate body that runs alongside of the universities. What they are being investigated is if they violated the NCCA rules of goverance of being under the NCAA and the rules pertaining to the scholorships and bursuries as an NCAA athele AND the rules of code of conduct for students at UNL.
You CAN NOT use your image while your are a NCAA athlete for ANY commercial purposes and get paid for it, it doesnââŹâ˘t matter if you are representing your school or not if you are an athlete those are the rules. The forms state that point very clearly. They were looking for a fast buck and got caught breaking the rules. Fratmen.tv is a COMMERCIAL PAY SITE.

That’s just stupid. Why shouldn’t athletes be allowed to model?
I could see logical reasons why they shouldn’t be allowed to do product endorsements etc, and I could even understand if there was a morals clause prohibiting nudity, sex tapes etc. But a general prohibition of making money on their own likeness is a bit draconian. According to those rules, athletes couldn’t even be a fashion model or actor.
Joel
SugaBear, thanks for clearing that up. Regardless of if I agree with the rule, it seems pretty clear they broke it. Although, I would be willing to bet that the NCAA has looked the other way in many circumstances that didn’t involve TEH GAY and TEH SEX.

^^^ That’s pretty fair. They’re definitely looking for something to pin on them (as it were). But they did break the rules.
