Marc Jacobs hasn’t confirmed he’s being tapped to take over famed French fashion label Christian Dior in the wake of John Galliano’s career-ending anti-Semitic rant. But he did tell CNN’s Alina Cho that he’d have a difficult time saying no if an offer was made.
“It would be an honor. I mean, there’s no question that the two great couture houses in Paris are Chanel and Dior. I think it would be a very hard thing to turn down.”
Cho profiles the larger-than-life gay designer in Fashion: Backstage Pass premiering September 17 at 2:30pm on CNN.

i really hope he doesn’t take that job. he’ll be head of his own brand and creative director at two stylistically distinct fashion houses. it’s just too much work for one man. altho, seeing what Dior put out in their Fall/Winter 2011 Couture line, they really are desperate for a creative leader.
