Elton John‘s love for Hillary Clinton may be tainted.
The British-born singer crooned last week for the presidential candidate, thus helping her raise $2.5 million, but now right-wing Judicial Watch has filed a formal FEC complaint against Clinton.
John’s contribution, they say, breaks federal election laws. A foreign national, read the regulations, cannot “make a contribution or donation of money or other thing of value…in connection with a Federal, State or local election.”
Said Judicial Watch’s president, Tom Fitton:
Recent news reports suggest that Hillary Clinton and Hillary Clinton for President have accepted an in-kind contribution from a foreign national, Sir Elton John, in contravention of federal electon laws. On behalf of Judicial Watch and its supporters, I hereby request that the FEC investigate this matter.

It looks as if Elton John, a foreign national, gave a valuable, in-kind contribution to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, which is prohibited by law. The FEC and other authorities need to take appropriate action and investigate Hillary Clinton, her campaign, and Elton John.
Clinton’s campaign had no comment on this right wing criticism, of course.

All good points made above aside, and with no malice or hostility toward Senator Clinton, Judicial Watch is right on. I am not a right-wing conservative, but I do make my living in the law. And we are a nation of laws, not personalities. Senator Clinton seems to have a propensity for subverting the law when it comes to raising money (i.e. the current civil case pending in CA initiated by Peter Paul, among other examples).

I guess Hillary does not have the good judgment she has been claiming throughout campaign. Aside from the possible poor judgment in violating the election laws, our girl does not have good judgment in picking her friends either.
You may recall that Hillary sat down a few weeks ago and shamelessly bowed to Richard Mellon Scaife, the owner of the Pittsburg Tribune. Scaife is a known right-wing billionaire who goes after Democrats with vengence. He is also the same Scaife who bankrolled the Clinton witch hunt (no pun intended) regarding whitewater, Vince Foster, and Bill’s sexcapades while Bill was President.
So what you ask? Scaife is the primary contributor to Judicial Watch, the organization which filed the FCC complaint. Scaife has donated more than $7 million to Judicial Watch.
I guess that answers the question whether Hillary’s Faustian deal and ass-kissing in Pittsburgh bore in fruit.

I work in philanthropy and am very familiar with govenment regulations regulating contributions. Contributions fall into three categories: 1) Cash and cash equivalents, 2)Tangible non-cash (“in-kind”) goods, and 3)Intangible non-cash goods/services.
The U.S. govenment is very clear (and always has been) that regardless of nationality or citizenship, a service performed by an individual is NOT a contribution and cannot be considered that way for tax, election, or other purposes. Singing is a nontangible good (otherwise known as a service) and therefore the basis of the complaint–that Elton John illegally contributed an in-kind service–is moot.
This is yet another example of Obamamaniacs proliferating nonsense based on seemingly viable information in order to raise doubts about the Clinton campaign. After all, these types of attacks are all you can do if your candidate has a half-page resume.

The point is Hillary sold her soul to obtain Scaife’s support and he used Judicial Watch to stab her in the back with the pitchfork.
BTW, I am a recovering Clinton supporter, until she decided to employ a campaign tactic that elevated McCain as a better choice than Obama.
