They don't just take a benign, or high road approach to the subject. My family wonders why I'm so hostile to the church. It's because the leaders are all Mr Rogers to your face, but Rush Limbaugh behind your back. They lobby for and pour money into regressive political mechanisms. The LDS church spent millions of dollars in Hawaii fighting gay marriage laws there too. They don’t just take a benign, or high road approach to the subject. It wasn't just California gay Mormons who were involved. The LDS church was very influential in getting Prop. 22 passed, so Affirmation is hoping they'll butt out this time.
