Fleet Week Sailors Get Things All Hot And Melty At The Big Gay Ice Cream Truck

THE SHOT - It’s Fleet Week in NYC and some land lubbin’ sailors have set their anchors at the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck. Does being photographed there still count as a violation of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell? Not if you eat the evidence.

I was a gay sailor and went on liberty in NYC 3 times. What fun. Especially when I was in uniform and would go to gay “places”. People went wild.

      That was 1968 – 1969.

The one on the right seems to have an ice-cream cone in his pants.
