Floyd Mayweather Jr., the boxer who goes by “Pretty Boy,” has tried long and hard to convince everyone he is not a homogay. One way obvious homogays do this is by calling other people gay, like he just did with Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao. On a Ustream feed. Jesus.
There was talk about Pacquiao being a “midget” and how he was going to “smoke the midget” and “cook that yellow chump” and “make that mother fucker make me a sushi roll and cook me some rice.” Or something. (He also said Pacquiao “can’t speak no English,” which is, uh, not grammatically correct English.)
Oh, and he called him a “faggot” a whole bunch.
Mayweather has since apologized, on Ustream — for everything but the gay slurs: “I do want to apologize for what happened the other night. I want to apologize to everybody because everybody thought that it was a racist comment that I said. I don’t have a racist bone in my body. I have nothing but love for everybody. Some of my guys are Muslim, some of my guys are Jews. Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, whites, …it doesn’t matter. I got nothing but love in my heart. All i want to say is, if anybody was affected from what I said the other day, I apologize as a man. I was just having fun. I didn’t really mean it.”

Whats interesting is that for every black gay blogger on here who always victimizes black people (in any gay related story on this site) I’d reckon to say today in our society…being racist is considered the BIGGEST taboo. It will get you fired. It will have you shunned. It will basically cast you as the worst human alive. Being homophobic? perfectly acceptable. Saying homophobic slurs? it’s almost encouraged. No consequences.
Yet when we log on this website, black gay men make it seem like homophobia is all but non-existent and the only form of hate that exists is racism. It’s the exact OPPOSITE. Homophobia is nearly encouraged in mainstream media, youth and society whereas even flirting with a racist undertone has you pegged as the worst human alive.
In 2010? You can get away with homophobia, but you can’t get away with racism. And until gay men, specifically minority gay men denounce both…no victory will ever be made.

Until gay folks grasp the correlation between homophobic terms and homophobia, both will continue to exist. Sadly, some gay inidviduals have themselves convinced that when people hurl out a “fag!”…it has absolutely nothing to do with gay people. Same said people thought the bullies at school were laughing with them instead of at them.
In every gay slur article we read, there’s a handful of posters who defend those stating the gay slurs like “that’s so gay!” or “faggot!” thinking it’s perfectly appropriate to dehumanize a term that specifically targets a very specific dmeographic. Well, if you find it acceptable for people to speak in a homophobic manner, than please don’t act disgusted, alarmed and surprised when those people choose to go behind a curtain and vote in a homophobic manner as well. I mean- why shouldn’t they? It’s all they know, and LGBT don’t school them otherwise. i.e: this fool is quick to rush with an apology for the many minority groups who demanded one for his insensetive digs, but could not care less if he offended the gay community. Breeding of homophobia.

I know a AA Lesbian couple who possess such class and dignity, they put my scruffy self to shame, and I watched as my heart sank at a cookout we had as their homophobe “rectified” churchy family members shunned, gagged, and denigrated them openly, in the most subtly disgusting ways. They might as well have taped their mouths shut. I was furious, and I can’t look them in the eye anymore. I can’t support you if you don’t support yourself. But it’s the norm, since there are a lot of social advantages being black and hating gays. It’s a group thing. But my observations mean nothing, I am obviously a white supremacist and don’t really experience anything, since I am gay. I sleep in a jar in the dresser drawer, in fact. Every morning my partner adds water, and poof, I’m fabulous.
So I’ve learned to laugh at each round of fresh faced horror of my AA friends and neighbors when I call them out on trying to take advantage of their hetero privilege and make themselves look buffoonish in doing so. I’ll clown you, why shouldn’t I? I don’t care if you think I’m in the KKK, there’s medication for people who live lies like that anyway. I mean you really think you’ll get a cookie by calling me a faggot? seriously?

Well I now hope Pacquiao will knock him out in the most painful way possible. Okay maybe not too fast, I don’t want to pay PPV for a fight that only lasts 8 minutes. C’mon Mayweather supposedly throws his kid’s mom around while Pacquiao has bought houses for all the members of his family who were still living in poverty and gone into politics in hope of getting better resources for the town he grew up in; so in the unlikely event that Pacquiao looses he still comes out the better person in my opinion.
