Flying Low.

Canadian airline Porter Airlines offers passengers free internet access, except those computers don’t allow any sort of lavender searching. No, not even “gay pride.” [Xtra]

This is a really unfair headline. If you read the article, you’ll see that the problem isn’t with the airline — it’s with the parental controls built into some of the Mac computers they’re using.

In any case, just google gay and see what you get. You get lots and lots of porn. So, I would totally understand if an airliner banned searching for the word “gay”.

Agreed with Mike, it’s an unfair headline.

However as a Canadian…I’ve honestly never heard of Porter Airlines :s

I live in Vancouver never heard of em either. And Queerty, what happened lately? Did you get snubbed by a hot Canadian or something? This is the 2nd story you have posted about Canada recently in which you either are not getting your facts straight or your stretching the truth as you did with your story about Canadian schools being anti-gay. You posted a story about 1 tiny hick town
in B.C. but made your headline read as if the entire Canadian school system was anti-gay in Canada. Its beginning to look like you have a vendetta against Canada or something.
