For the most part, I think Adam’s career is going to be urban. In any case, I think the state fairs are kinda out for the time being. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

He largely ignores that point in interviews and allows newcomers to assume it was all about just the sex angle. Kinda wierd and I’m assuming he made the conscience decision to sacrifice that point. Adam is smart and knows that a real icon is loved for their actual persona not for being an “actor”. ie Joplin, Freddie, Jim Morrison, Jagger etc. So he’s culling the herd but RCA needs to be able to smooth it over.

That’s the only rationale I can come up with for ignoring the “fan message” part of the genesis of that song since day one. And it’s no secret so RCA fully supported the more obvious AMA message. I think they expected the dancer’s face to be 12 inches further away during the performance and it’s as simple as that. eyeroll. He’s stipulated he pulled Tommy’s hair in rehearsal so again…whatever. For now he needs enough fans to tour and be himself without having to do stupid state fairs etc that all the other idols have to do. Gaga’s tour is a mini smaller venue tour so perhaps he’ll open for her next year similarly.

From the moderate number of complaints versus the number who watched, it looks like most Americans approve of man on man blow-jobs. LMAO !!!

The Ellen transcript was somber and bleh for me but it had to be I suppose. The castration required to imprint the All American Boy image I suppose. The “upon reflection” without an outright apology. Ellen did stand firm on the double standard thing. The takeaways were ok. He needs to get appearances and radio spins to advance is the bottom line I think.

You can’t come out of American Idol where the public largely pretended his sexuality wasn’t apparent. He said he did the mic stand choreo during his Led Zep number and they kept the camera waist up.

When it’s a woman alone putting on a sexual act and playing with herself – again, it’s not just her having a blast, it just has to be for “their entertainment”.

It’s an extra 24 minute in-depth interview where Lambert talks mostly about the music and many of the individual songs. It’s surprisingly interesting. That kid can sure talk.

I think Rufus Wainwright, among others, might disagree with you there. Not to mention all the lesbian singers who have been singing songs about women for years.

Adam’s great, but you Glamberts need to stop over praising him and making him out to be something he’s not, especially the many claims that he’s the first to do something when he clearly isn’t.

True. And this inevitable conclusion reminds us about the illusion of liberalism and conservatism. In any event, I had wanted to thank you for clarifying my confusion about the price I paid for the Adam Lambert CD on iTunes. The breakdown that you gave me makes sense and sounds reasonable.

It was most kind of you to take the time to respond to my post and I very much appreciate it. I will enjoy the cd all the much more now that I am aware of the fact that what I paid for it at the iTunes store was commensurate with what it contained.

Truth be known, even if I had been overcharged, the cd would still have been worth it. It’s a great collection and I wish Mr. Lambert much success in his budding career.

OK, now I officially am in love with this guy. If gay people can’t get behind him and throw their entire support behind him, then we’re screwed.

EXACTLY Frank, as a gay women, it has always been surprising to me that the gay community has not been 100% behind Adam. It is NUTS that we are not. Adam is the first Openly Gay Pop Star who is singing he vs she is lyrics etc. The bashing I have seen confuse and astound me. Even if the cd was not a fab work of art and incredible good, I would support it. Every gay person in America should pick up Adam’s cd to support him and because you will love the cd.

I love Adam, and I think he’s got a pair of awesome balls. He’s also talked about his early experiences with women. But he’s working through his own “thang” now trying to figure out how to balance his popularity with a diverse public that he never had before. He’s saying a lot of stuff. We need to take him at his word when he says he doesn’t speak for other gay people.

We should just celebrate that Adam is achieving a major celebrity the way he is. It will make things easier for other talented gay people.
