With the release of his autobiography Me (or Yo) on Nov. 2, Ricky Martin is ramping up the publicity train: That same day he’ll release “The Best Thing About Me Is You,” a duet with Joss Stone that will be his first single in more than six years. (The Spanish version, “Lo Mejor de Mi Vida Eres Tú,” pairs him with Natalia Jiménez.) Then there’s the book tour (New York, LA, Miami), an Oprah appearance, and probably a calendar and a mouse pad. Listen a preview of the single below.

Awful, cringe-inducing crap. Guess there were not roles for him to play on “Burlesque”.

@MissDivaDelish:
No one wants to in Burlesque, except washed up has beens like Christina. Ricky at least still has a career in latin america.

I don’t understand why we should care. Did Ricky Martin coming out all of the sudden make his music anything more that pop crap?
MissDivaDelish
@AdonisOfFire: Big deal!

LOL! So he comes out of the closet finally, releases a song called “The Best Thing About Me Is You,” and it’s a duet with a female obviously sung in a heterosexual context? You gotta laugh – he has the opportunity to be real and sing what he really feels and likes, but he’s obviously still trying to cater to his middle age straight female fanbase.
