Former “Fag Hag” Courtney Love Owes Her Success To Drag Queens

courtney-love-wallpaper_156589-1280x800Speaking recently to Gay Times magazine, Courtney love had plenty of love to bestow on the gays in her life, especially early on.

“When I was a kid I was definitely what you would call a fag hag because that’s how I learned to dress and be extrovert and walk into a room.”

Guess she didn’t hang out with the introverted, quiet gays. But that’s not much of a shock.

She also said that her “freshman year of learning how to be a rock star was just hanging around drag queens..”

It’s always nice to hear gays get the creative recognition that’s so often overlooked, even if it is from the sometimes mess that is Courtney Love. Luckily she doesn’t attribute that to her homos also.

This isn’t the first time she’s praised the gays, too. She previously told Vanity Fair“My homos — they stick by me through thick and thin,” and said to the Rainbow Times, “If I don’t have the gays, I just go nuts, because they always know every word and they’re the best core audience you can have.”

Well, we agree with you there.

Asked why she thinks she’s so popular in the gay community, she said it must have to do with, “surviving. It has to be. Surviving, and also the ability to do drag, to clean up nice. I might look like shit this morning, but you know, I clean up nice.”
