FOX News: Fair, Balanced and Untrue

This short clip, courtesy of FOX News, makes us laugh hysterically. The "fair and balanced" network went to a Pennsylvania diner to see who was voting for Obama and who was voting for McCain. After a show of hands, the reporter declared it "a split," although it totally wasn't. At all.

Um…I may be wrong but I think the reporter was being sarcastic when he said it was split. I mean he said the room was leaning towards Obama and you hear laughter in the background. Personally, I think the best part is the old lady pulling her husband's hand down when he starts to raise it for McCain.

Sure it was a split. A 90-10 split, or whatever, but a split noentheless.

Remember Repubs don't know much about economics/numbers…of course to them it's a split. 90-10 is the new 50-50. LOL….this was great…and you call this journalism? The lady is awesome…which is really great considering they are older folks so looks good for Obama. YAY!

It wasn't even 90-10. The only one who raises his hand for McCain – at least on camera – is the Fox reporter himself. Pure comedy gold.

Agree with Matt about the old lady and her husband.

Heehee…Grateful to Matt for making me rewatch it and see the old woman pull her husband's hand down…Hilarious.

But how sad is it that in the back of my mind I would putit past FOX to coach the crowd to raise their hands for Obama just to raise concern among their viewers, and that she was correcting her senile hubby? I don't believe that's the case, but yes…how sad itis that a "news" source has proven to be so deceptive and manipulative that you have to wonder if everything they do is a distortion….of a distortion…of a distortion.

Correction: "But how sad is it that in the back of my mind I wouldn't put it past FOX…"

Um . . . I don't see any sarcasm on the part of the reporter.

The laugh, I think, is at the reporter's expense, not because the room is sharing a joke with him.

What's even more hilarious about the old woman is once it's time to vote for obama, both her arms shoot up enthusiastically.

A split does not need to be two equal parts.

He meant he split his pants cause he has a boner for McCain.

I have to say, there's something a bit fishy about this one. I do get the feeling that maybe something was rehearsed beforehand. Not that a roomful of random persons couldn't all be Obama supporters (I am one, btw) but it seems that at least a few of them would have been for McCain just looking at averages.

Sneaky-ass Fox "News".

You should change your name to the "reactionary right." I haven't ever seen a network who have been so baised in their reporting. You call network 'fair and balanced", please. I am sure somebody is paying your commentators to spin the same message day after day. The American people deserve to hear both sides of a story.
