France Condemns Iran’s Gay Execution

Iran’s anti-gay ways ain’t making it many friends. While the United States government has yet to speak out against 21-year old Makwan Moloudzadeh’s execution, the French government issued a statement Friday. We received said statement in French and used an elementary program to translate. We’ve included the original French version after the jump.

France condemned Friday the execution by Iran of a 20 year old Iranian, Makwan Moloudzadeh, condemned for rapes of teenagers whom it would have made at the 13 years age.

Paris “condemns the execution on December 5, in spite of multiple interventions of the European Union, of Mr. Makwan Mouloudzadeh which had been condemned to mortpour a crime that it would have made at the 13 years age”, declared carries-paroledu it Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Pascale Andréani.

France “considers it regrettable that Iran has not respected its obligations international with title of Pact international relating to civil laws and political and of Convention on rights of child, which prohibits both without ambiguity the execution of minors or people condemned for committed crimes whereas they were minor”, it added. “We exhort Iran to put a term at executions of minors for whom it holds the sad world record, and to proscribe in a general way the capital punishment”, the spokesman continued. The hanging of the young man changed to 280 the number of people carried out in Iran since the beginning of the year, according to a calculation of AFP…

La France a condamné vendredi l’exécution par l’Iran d’un iranien de 20 ans, Makwan Moloudzadeh, condamné pour des viols d’adolescents qu’il aurait commis à l’âge de 13 ans.

Paris “condamne l’exécution le 5 décembre, en dépit de multiples interventions de l’Union européenne, de M. Makwan Mouloudzadeh qui avait été condamné à mortpour un crime qu’il aurait commis à l’âge de 13 ans”, a déclaré la porte-paroledu ministère des Affaires étrangères, Pascale Andréani. La France “regrette que l’Iran n’ait pas respecté ses obligations internationales au titre du Pacte international relatif aux droits civils et politiques et de la Convention relative aux droits de l’enfant, qui interdisent tous deux sans ambiguïté l’exécution de mineurs ou de personnes condamnées pour des crimes commis alors qu’elles étaient mineures”, a-t-elle ajouté.

“Nous exhortons l’Iran à mettre un terme aux exécutions de mineurs pour lesquelles il détient le triste record mondial, et à proscrire de façon générale la peine capitale”, a poursuivi la porte-parole. La pendaison du jeune homme a porté à 280 le nombre de personnes exécutées en Iran depuis le début de l’année, selon un décompte de l’AFP établi à partird’informations de presse.
