Gay (And Other ‘Special’) Families Absent From Obama’s Family Day Proclamation
On Monday Barack Obama issued the president’s annual Family Day proclamation, and he forgot, or purposefully failed to mention, same-sex families. “Scandal!” But he called us out last year, and included us in this year’s Mother’s Day and Father’s Day memos, and he didn’t mention single parents and every other type of family unit, so he totes get a pass, yah?
